Wanted to share a cool thing that happened two nights ago where fireworks and weather collided. The firework show in Rehoboth Beach, DE was among one of the smokiest I’ve ever seen with smoke obscuring much of the show itself as it spread out low toward the boardwalk (1/5) #DEwx

Once cooler the smoke could no longer remain elevated, experiencing a repelling buoyant force. Additionally, RH > 90% at the time per SPC Hourly Mesoanalysis observations, allowed the smoke to appear thicker and settle towards the ground as it spread horizontally (4/5).
