@nic_carter @lopp Crypto does not have the limitations of gold wrt practical usability. It also can't be manipulated by central bankers who think they know what's best for everyone in an economy. Interest rates should be set like any other price. Based on the supply and demand of capital.

@johnrobb Another big factor in this is the age structure of the population. This explains some but not all of the differences in severities between countries. In order to compare efficacies of responses based on death rate, we must control for age structure and population density.

I've been working with a generous donor to get a million PPEs (masks) to the myriad healthcare workers in NYC who constantly tell us they're facing shortages.

Yet, hurdle after hurdle of dysfunction is severely inhibiting us from getting donated masks to those in need.
