Indisputable. 🐐
Lionel Messi breaks Miroslav Klose's record for the most goals scored in World Cup history.
The Argentina superstar's goal against Austria means the 38-year-old has now scored 17 goals across six tournaments.
Guillermo Hoyos introduced what became known as the ‘Super Liga’ at Inter Miami after replacing Javier Mascherano, an in-house tournament with the squad divided into a series of small-sided teams. Each one had a captain who, in turn, picked the teams. Players could be transferred between them. All results were then written on a whiteboard, as were other performance metrics, such as goals scored. The games were intense but respectful.
On the final day of the Super Liga season, the champion was announced. Not only did Lionel Messi's team win, but the stats were also jaw-dropping. Messi scored more than 80 goals over the tournament. No other Inter Miami player had more than 30.
As MLS headed into a league-wide break to accommodate the World Cup, Messi's Super Liga form carried over into Inter Miami's actual games. He was involved in 12 goals (five goals and seven assists) in his last five appearances for his club.
All the hard work Messi put in across the season was paying off.
This is how he prepared for the World Cup.

Many consider last night's win over Croatia to be England's most exciting in a major tournament since beating Dutch in Euro' 96. A 10-year-old Anthony Barry was at Wembley that day. He's been wanting England to play like a top PL side for a long time...

On June 16 2006 I was in Gelsenkirchen to watch an 18-year-old Lionel Messi make his World Cup debut for Argentina with a breathtaking cameo against Serbia & Montenegro.
Twenty years on I was in Kansas City last night to watch Messi (in my opinion, the greatest player there has ever been) kick off his sixth World Cup, approaching his 39th birthday, with a hat-trick against Algeria. A privilege then, a privilege now #messi 🇦🇷

No matter how excited you are to see Lionel Messi play, no matter how good you expect it to be, he still has an ability to take your breath away. From Kansas, and one of the all-time great World Cup moments.

🚨 Pep Guardiola: “What is Barça missing to win the Champions League? The Champions League is a competition that DESTROYS projects, and I hope that’s not the case at Barça”.
“We must not think that just because you don’t win it, everything that has been built is no good. The league is the competition that gives you consistency and continuity. In the Champions League, you need to reach the decisive stages in good condition, without injuries, and refereeing also has a huge impact”.
“What matters is that the daily work is excellent, that the team keeps growing and improving, and that they don’t believe the season is a failure just because they don’t reach the Champions League final or win it. The league is what sets the foundation for judging whether a season has been good or not”.
Anyone who confidently states that AI either is or is not conscious, is safe to ignore.
There are plausible theories that predict either but none have been actually tested.
The problem is when you realise that all your efforts of making content and trying to raise awareness/propose solutions is largely irrelevant because the "stakeholders" couldn't care less. So then you ask yourself: "dry trying?" For what? Is my work making an actual difference?
Will share my thoughts with him
This is a long, heartbreaking journey. @FootballPak been at it for 23 yrs & saw a WC win after 20 yrs
If you want 🇵🇰⚽️ to progress, treat it like a crusade: you win, lose, or die trying. You don't quit
Advice to every fan who joined after 2022
@shahrukhsohail7 Wanting it to have a ROI of impacting Pakistan football positively is a by-product of passion in my opinion. No one does content creation in Pakistan football for monetary ROI 😂
@shahrukhsohail7 Exactly, so then you ask the question: is it better to direct my energy somewhere better, rather than making content (which has a low ROI in terms of delivering proper change)?
