Gavin Baker reveals that Dario has said internally that Anthropic may be the only private company in the world at some point, based on Baker's trusted sources
"Internally, Anthropic is very confident. I have been told by multiple people I trust that Dario has said that Anthropic might be the only private company in the world at some point."
"Think about that. And in this vision, an Anthropic-maximalist vision, there's Anthropic and then there are governments, and that's it."
Today at @Haladirofficial, we are launching Nomos Sandbox, an interactive and public simulation of Nomos, our AI decision layer for logistics. It is open starting today: request access at https://t.co/yzGFGGUagn, log in, and spend a session inside a working warehouse or sortation operation, watching decisions get made, questioned, and approved.

Introducing Sila backed by @ycombinator : Messaging built for 2026
AI is single-player, but work is not. Everyone knows how to message, so that's how AI should work. You'll message it, it'll message you back, and you'll do it together as a team.
Sila (@sila_hq) is the agent-native messaging platform. Create, share, and interact with proactive agents with your team inside groupchats and direct messages (Team-Agent). Agents collaborate with each other (Agent-Agent), answer customer questions (Agent-Customers), and collaborate with other company agents in shared groupchats (Company Agent-Company Agent).
Bring-Your-Own-Agents like Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and swap between models like Claude Fable, GPT-5.6, Deepseek V4 to use them together as a team.
Your company's conversations are the most valuable information on Earth, Sila helps your team use, learn, and act on them by building for multiplayer AI interaction.
The conversations that define the future will happen on Sila, come start yours. Share this post and comment your thoughts to receive free credits to get started.
Btw this isn’t aimed at Photon in particular, idrc that they hosted a yacht party, it’s been done literally a million times. What I am pointing out is a general, more widespread tendency and trend for striver-types across the US and SF especially to worship “prestige,” and how this worship manifests itself into seemingly innocent yet deeply distasteful attention-seeking.
I know the poster probably doesn't recognize this, and by no means am I saying this stuff isn't common in SF, but posts like these come off as incredibly gauche and tone-deaf. Our new American industrialists and technological leaders need to stop worshiping the superficial hierarchy of "success prestige" that they themselves have created within higher ed since the 2000s, and recognize that worshiping money is not cool or ironically cool.
What has always confused about the strivers is that they believe "grinding" or "working hard" is good in and of itself. What they fail to recognize is that simply "grinding" without any purpose makes you beholden to whoever profits from it. I want these strivers to think harder about why they are in the jobs they are in, why they work for the people they do, and, eventually, what purpose their grind really serves.
Grinding it not a virtue. A virtue takes a positive position, by which I mean a declarative one.
imo this country needs a counter-elite of young American industrial and technological leaders who direct their grind, above all else, toward the prosperity of the nation, and by that I mean its people and their collective economic and national self-interest. Unless our smart young people find it within themselves to grow up a little, they will continue to work hard for some vague notion of personal or societal prestige that forever leaves them empty.
A huge thanks to @Haladirofficial for giving us early access to their challenging operations research benchmark! We think their work will help drive AI adoption in many real-world settings!
Happy to be featured on @poetiq_ai's recent article, "Benchmarks Are Dead."

Benchmarks are dead (for us).
Our RSI system makes benchmarks too easy.
Give ours a benchmark and it builds its own solution–then beats SOTA. We just did it on 6 at once: math, coding, planning, long-context, tool use, web apps. No human tuning.

US soccer will literally never recover from this. One of the worst performances we’ve seen in a while. I think I could count on one hand the amount of passes that weren’t given to the other team.
