Pacers best chances at winning a title since 1998:
‘98 - Michael Jordan
‘99 - bullshit 4pt play
‘00 - Shaq and Kobe
‘04 - Malice at the Palace
‘13 - G7 L in ECF against LeBron
‘14 - LeBron & the Granger trade
‘24 - Tyrese gets hurt in G2 ECF, Celtics sweep with 3 of the games losing by 5 or fewer points
‘25 - Haliburton tears his achilles G7 of the Finals
the Pacers have made the playoffs 29 times in their NBA history and have lost to the team that either won the championship or made the Finals in 18 of those appearances
82-0 might be fun for some of you, but for True & Ethical appreciators of defense, glue guys, vibes, grinders, and “he just does the little things” guys, this game is actually a minor form of torture
The night after The Late Show’s final episode, Stephen Colbert was back on late-night television Friday… on Monroe, Michigan public access, where he was joined by "volunteer music director" Jack White and guest Jeff Daniels https://t.co/WPMfCmZfaZ
Just wanted to highlight how ridiculous the 1st inning of Kerry Wood’s 20K masterpiece was:
- 100mph to the umps face to start the game
- What HoFer Craig Biggio called his most embarrassing swing of his career
- Strikes out NL batting leader Derek Bell on possibly the nastiest, definition of fall-off-the-table, curveball you’ve ever seen
- Strikes out HoFer and one of the greatest fastball hitters…on three fastballs.
-Just absolutely disgusting stuff
- Kerry Wood Forever
@thepearsonified@NoLayingUp But the juice has to be worth the squeeze. How much more money and more interest are you talking vs keeping existing relationships and playing in like Detroit?
@thepearsonified@NoLayingUp If the PGAT had willing sponsors that would put up enough money to convince players to travel to and compete in Australia or South Africa, without harming the rest of the schedule, they would absolutely set that up.
@thepearsonified@NoLayingUp They’re beholden because that’s where the money is.
Do you think the NFL or MLB don’t do things with revenue or corporate partners in mind?
@thepearsonified@NoLayingUp So close to getting it.
When the Adelaide and South Africa can find people to pony up the money for the big sponsors tents and grandstands, then it will make sense to go there regularly.
