Understand what exactly is this #php2shell vulnerability internet is going bonkers…

- Websites are files on a computer. When you view a website, you are asking the computer to send you the files, then your browser shows them to you.

- 70% of the websites you see use PHP to make them interactive. So you can send things to the website too and it can respond. E.g. filling in a comment box and hitting 'post' adds the comment as a row to a spreadsheet.

- PHP has a flaw in its code that allows anyone to gain control of the computer that has the website on it.

- The organisation that provides PHP announced the vulnerability before a patch was available, meaning we're in a window where everyone knows about it (including baddies) but the good guys don't have an official solution.

- Some are just turning off their websites and waiting for the solution. Others are trying to fix it themselves. General chaos and lots of stressed techies across literally the entire planet because this affects the entire internet.

Make sure Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome have the latest component to protect yourself.

Visit https://t.co/2PvEjkysLm and make sure the result says `✅Did not connect`

If it doesn't say that, then visit "chrome://components" and click "Check for update" for "CRLSet"

Lots of Security incidents today, here's some practical tips for those who just wanna protect yourself:

1) UPDATE EVERYTHING - main targets are:
a) Browsers - Chrome, Safari, Firefox
b) OS: : Settings -> General -> software update; Linux: sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade; Windows: I think there's a button. Do this for any remote home servers & Openclaw/hermes boxes
c) Phones: Update it all
d) Desktop apps (Slack, Cursor, Discord, etc)

2) Limit web browsing this week: Stay within walled gardens (twitter, youtube, etc); don't click random links this week. Just wait until the patches go through. Do step 1 again after a week.

3) Avoid untrusted Wifi networks until your devices are updated

4) Stay vigilant about phishing emails offering "certificate fixes" or fraud updates

5) Have an iPhone 11-16? TURN BLUETOOTH OFF for the time being until apple patches come through.

6) Code/Dev: UPDATE ALL YOUR REPOS - @charliermarsh has already updated uv 0.13.4 which reacts to the eMudra incident for uv (Python), Typesript according to Claude has equivelant. Tell your agents to go and update all your active repos to update package manager across uv, npm, bun, cargo, etc etc

Minority run schools can admit 50% of their own religion at subsidized fees, if a Hindu run school does that you guys will be screaming Fascism.

What has constitution given to Muslims?

Article 30(1) grants all religious and linguistic minorities the freedom to set up and manage schools, colleges, and universities of their choice.

Article 30(2) states that the government cannot discriminate against any educational institution when giving financial aid just because it is run by a minority group.

Property Protection: Article 30(1) (Clause 1A) ensures that if the state acquires a minority-run educational property, fair compensation is provided so the right is not harmed.

These institutions can select staff, set admission preferences, and design management structures, though they must follow reasonable state rules to maintain high academic and administrative standards.

25% neighbourhood admission quota under the Right to Education (RTE) Act does not apply to minority institutions.
