@Mattxduchak@Sorcerer0fEld Inherited wealth is different from self-made wealth (and we have a crisis of corporate concentration in Canada).
Drug use / disorder on transit is bad (and we have an order of magnitude too few mental health beds).
@rezoundous I prefer GPT 5.5 as orchestrator/executor + Fable 5 as reviewer/advisor. Didn’t enjoy Fable as the orchestrator, for the high price and slow speed.
@_ChanFace If one weirdo with a twitter account can name himself “Integrity TO” no reason you can’t start an “Accountability TO” account that just syndicates your tweets. Feels kinda lame but apparently somewhat effective 🤷
@DhillonHariGTA I appreciate he communicates in a direct way instead of the all too common word salad, including about the temporary resident disaster. I listened to @TheresaLubowitz podcast with him last month and thought he spoke intelligently and empathetically.
@EricDLombardi Long time liberal here (since 2012) 👋
Authentic, clear-eyed views of our problems + simple, unencumbered solutions have been lost to our public discourse for a while, thank you for rediscovering that politics can actually be made of substance.
@EricDLombardi Thank you Eric - this doesn’t get talked about enough! There is huge leverage in attacking issues defined by a “concentration of harms”.
@rchrdchn@tobi@MarkJCarney sadly state capacity has hollowed out, all the builders are in the private sector, some of them enriching themselves scamming the public sector, almost no builders left in the public sector
@jbsteinberg@recca777 I agree with most of your ideas but not this one. Sucks to keep a streetcar full of people waiting. Ideally signal priority is set such that streetcar at stop = light is red, streetcar ready to pass = light is green. That should still fix the issue of drivers having “two reds”.
A full-scale US Waymo rollout would cost ~700 full-time jobs in the funeral care industry (by saving around 35 thousand young American lives per year). Will no one think of (some of) the morticians!
@idiom_bytes@KingPStream Question period has devolved to drama class for politicians in the past two decades. Not a valuable signal either way. And questions can be asked (and often are) in a dishonest manner.
@melkuo I like the idea of treating the domestic tuition discount as a signing bonus, you have to repay it if you leave within 5yrs. On the other side, we also need a wholesale revamp of incentives on the immigration system to encourage many of the post 2020 arrivals to leave.
@leerob@pirchavez I prefer Opus spawning composer subagents, seems like a more likely default user preference imo, would be nice to have clear flexibility in the UI though eventually
we demand assimilation because that is the only way to justify immigration. no culture would welcome millions of migrants determined — openly — to change their country. we will soon hear arguments in favor of total immigration moratoriums, and men like this will be responsible.
@SalmaZahid15 You are proud that we are being robbed blind by regulatory failures and construction incompetence? The GDP and jobs associated with this are beyond pathetic.
