I just added in my ChatGPT instructions the 2026 state of code.
LLMs still thinks we write all of code by hand. Ironic when you're thinking about the fact THEY are writing it now
@argofowl I fear that, even if OpenAI released Fable 5 level performance, that it would not have the same taste and attention to detail that Claude models are known for
@Dimillian@NickADobos Could be even better with a gpt realtime integration in Codex App, also with share screen you could vibe yap the app: vibe yapping
@ajambrosino@koltregaskes@Fedesco5 Hope we get ChatGPT memory baked into Codex app soon then, and also the search capabilities (proper search tool that is as powerful as ChatGPT’s and Deep Research maybe) 👀
OpenAI frontier models and Codex are now generally available on AWS, giving enterprises a new way to build on Amazon Bedrock with OpenAI through the security, compliance, and governance workflows they already use.
This is also the beginning of a broader expansion of OpenAI capabilities on AWS, including future availability for cybersecurity capabilities like Daybreak.

Any EU users of the Codex app that were bypassing to get US features?
It now requires always-on VPN to work, any other way you found?
I was using computer use quite frequently and other things…
Windows Computer use in Codex currently controls your own cursor, they are working hard on it with Microsoft to be in the background as on macOS.
In the meantime the Chrome extension still allows background use if you were planning to use it for browser tasks
@reach_vb@Peacerful How soon? Would be cool if doable to have some kind of timeline for each feature (CU, Chronicle, proactive suggestions, etc) on when to expect it to be deployed in EU, it’s quite frustrating to not have any update on the deployment
Also new in Claude Code: dynamic workflows (research preview).
For the hardest tasks, Claude makes a plan, runs hundreds of parallel subagents, and verifies its work before reporting back. Think a migration touching hundreds of files.

I actually like the fact Apple isn’t making frontier AI models but is allowing for third party to integrate, so you can get your ChatGPT / Gemini / Claude / other running inside your iPhone, imagine getting the memories of your ChatGPT inside Siri with the power of Codex, would be awesome (I’m just dreaming)
BREAKING: A first look with renders at Apple’s upcoming iOS 27, completely revamped Siri, major new AI features, enhanced photo editing, a customizable Camera app aimed at pros and more. https://t.co/RvKch3m67S
@ajambrosino would be cool in the Codex App, as in Arc Browser that you get your active running threads showing even if the project folder is collapsed
Also, still not able to get past threads that are older than 50 last threads, would love to be able to search an old thing (very frustrating to need to ask codex to search in files since everything is stored locally) and also a show more btn until there’s no more to see
I feel like the Codex app only shows 50 threads max, I often need to get back an old conversation and can’t achieve to do so, even though it’s in my computer when I ask codex to find it.
Would be cool to have search across all our threads, and in the projects folders to be able to click see more kind of infinitely (10 by 10 or something)
