@barbedquill big question I have is what happens next? Is the plan to merge the ospreys & blues in which case Welsh rugby is massively unbalanced & unlikely to be sustainable or is the plan to close the ospreys. If so you have pathways & geography to reallocate which creates more uncertainty
@newcastle2023@CamMagicMan I can see much more room for a 9s/10s competition and can see how it would work for the league forwards in particular. As a 15s union comp it strikes me as nothing more than the barbarians in different kit
@Rreesrugby It’s one part of the game I find really frustrating as in certain circumstances it becomes a case of score or get the ball back anyway. I was previously told that advantage is effectively played until the team makes more ground than they could have if they had kicked to touch
@KeithClarke1 I always find these graphics puzzling. Assuming the playing budgets are around €11m then I can’t really understand what the clubs spend another €20m plus of their budget on
@benjames1796 Wonder who thought up the fans of players argument. Guessing Jonah Lomu in his prime could have fallen into this category but can’t think of many other current athletes across any sports who this would also apply to
@CaptSpringbok I wouldn’t read too much into that game. Both sides had an awful 20 minute period . However for the 20 mins SA were awful everything worked for the Aussies . Won’t see a game like that again in a long time
@ospreylian1 I suppose if your role is WRU director of rugby then I can see how reach this poin. In a world dominated by communication I’m amazed how bad the WRU are at it. Amazes me how they think anyone can sell tickets, sponsorship or investment with the lack of info & overall uncertainty
