@RavenSoftware Just allow warzone to be warzone. Don’t try so hard to make it look like multiplayer. Visit your code for BO6 resurgence. That’s the real ish
@RavenSoftware Why do you want warzone to feel like multiplayer? Go back to BO6 resurgence and just improve it rather than creating something that doesn’t feel like COD.
I’m exhausted by the “it’s just a beta” narrative.
Yes, it is a beta. But they have less than 2 months for this to be in a position to not only match, but supposedly build on the Warzone we already have. The changes required are not small and simple.
My frustration comes from repeatedly starting at a worse spot year over year when a new developer steps in to take over the base integration.
I know that in 6-8 months we’re gonna love this game, but by that time, the player base will have already fallen off, and the opportunity for incredible moments simply will not be there.
The COD cycle cannot start at near zero anymore. It’s just not sustainable.
I’m appreciative that they’re putting in such quick and hard work, but we’re about to have 2 months where they can’t get anymore feedback and play testing at scale. Do we really think it’s going to supersede the current iteration before launch?
I love this game, I love RavenSoftware (and supporting studios), but I’m so tired of every new title coming with a punch in the gut and a constant feeling that it’s just going to further divide the player base, or shrink it entirely.
Every time it’s IW’s turn to take the helm of Warzone, they try to capture lightning in a bottle, but they do it at the cost of the identity that’s already been built.
I think by the time we hit the end of MW4s cycle, this is going to be the best iteration of Warzone, but getting there is the issue. The player base falloff is the issue. The constant forced division is the issue.
I’m excited to play something fresh and new, but I cannot pretend to love where we’re at right now.
Truly, I think the team is going to move mountains, but my faith is shaken in them due to the history we’ve lived through with Warzone.
I hope I’m wrong. I’d be so damn excited. 🤞
To the teams at @CallofDuty, I think there needs to be a ton of private (bi)weekly play testing on the new Warzone before launch. Feedback is key before official launch. I’d love to be involved, but I also understand if being this critical somehow disqualifies me.
Either way, I look forward to seeing swift changes, and I promise I will applaud as hard as I critique when I job is well done. 🤝
