This is the 1952 Le Mans-winning 300 SL, driven by Hermann Lang and Fritz Riess. It won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1952 and was their first LM win.
I posted it because as you look back, you see how they try and stay true to some of their earlier heritage (see attached GLE/ML).
So when you ask about timeless, well, Merc's has been around a while and for a reason.

Sub-20yrs old: warm up for the social aspect.
20-30 yrs old: warm up because some old injuries, tendinitis etc.
30-40 yrs old: warm up to warm up.
40+: warm up to make coffee 😩
