I got bored and threw together an unofficial mock-up of the @ttchelps rapid transit map post-line 3 closure. I also included the Eglinton East RapidTO corridor, which was a last-minute addition. I might remove it lol
@catastrophicss@leeman24@JakeLandauTO you get the same discount ($3.30) using a debit or credit card as you do using presto! the only differences are bank cards only support adult fares (no youth/senior fares), and they don't support monthly passes
$3.35 is the fare only if you use exact cash
@D_Darrell_D@TTCnotices the maintainer is crosslinx transit solutions, metrolinx's private sector partner who is responsible for maintaining the line.
all the ttc does is drive the trains and staff the stations. when anything happens, the ttc must wait for metrolinx and crosslinx to respond.
@BotPostmed56555@TTCnotices yup, crosslinx transit solutions, metrolinx's private partner that is 100% responsible for the maintenance of the line's infrastructure and trains.
@frankp316@RichardCityNews it is accessible, but unfortunately less so than the subway or even the finch west line. on eglinton, passengers with larger mobility devices can only use four doors to board since the rest are too narrow, and don't have wheelchair bays.
@DamianDC7 the new 34 and accompanying bus service changes take effect on february 8 regardless of the status of line 5, although the goal is obviously still to open the line simultaneously!
@_ChanFace what was postponed is the sign-up date for the schedule change on february 8th: the day operators sign for and select their work for the service period.
this delay only concerns staff and (for now) doesn't affect the expected february 8th service changes, including the LRT.
@_ChanFace hate to be that guy, but that's NOT what this says.
the february board period (and at this time the expected opening date for the eglinton line) is still scheduled for february 8, this has not changed.
@CindyMi6@TTCnotices 504 streetcars aren't running to broadview station due to watermain and track replacement at queen and broadview. all 504 cars terminate at distillery loop
505 dundas cars still serve broadview station though, and 504 buses operate from king and parliament to broadview station.
@TTChelps Okay, that's fine, but then why is it advertised on your website and on trip planners as being a stop? If it's not a designated bus stop, it shouldn't be listed as one...
@TTChelps
Are 503 replacement buses stopping at University Avenue SB at Adelaide Street West? (Stop ID 15838)
There is no stop poster, or any indication that this is a transit stop, and buses have made no attempt to stop. Why advertise a stop that doesn't exist?
@reiaposting@SwanBoatSteve they've actively been removing stops from routes that are too close together by current standards, additionally a major part of the 2026 ANP is optimizing the express network by way of, among other things, removing stops
@yfcherries@RealAlbanianPat the bus lanes on the DVP see very little scheduled bus service, only a handful of buses during the day with more service in the overnight when the trains don't run
the problem is moreso that it would be pretty useless as a through lane with how much it randomly starts and ends
If this government has been intentionally letting this project stagnate so they can announce its opening days before a snap election - I'm going to blow my top.
