@Utd_Bean@TheAthleticFC@FA_PGMOL He's not wrong. It's a foul that Gabriel embellished. No difference from when defenders are chasing the ball to the corner flag then throw themselto the ground once the attacker is behind. Refs cal it all the time
@ToastYime@DominicHailsto1 Again, I never said it's fault. I'm simply saying having some empathy for the black men and telling them I'm sorry you had to hear that, does not imply anything other than he understands black people the same way we understand people with disabilities.
@ToastYime@DominicHailsto1 Correct. But that's not what happened. He had his tic, they were called the N-word, and then you are incapable of understanding how hurtful it is to have someone say that to you. Lack of intent doesn't erase how it make you feel.
@DominicHailsto1@ToastYime No, that means you have closer relationships with people who have disabilities than any black people, better off American black people. I definitely could of phrased it better.
@ToastYime@DominicHailsto1 If I have involuntary muscle spasms and I punch you in the face, is it my fault? No.
Should I say sorry? Yes.
Am I saying sorry because I have spasms? No
Am I saying sorry for striking your face? Yes
Should I volunteer at a children's hospital? No
Am I in a box? No
@ToastYime@DominicHailsto1 I have no clue where you are getting this box thing from and you refuse to acknowledge that disabilities do limit people's life experiences.
@DominicHailsto1@ToastYime I never said he was a racist and don't think he is a racist. I think those 2 men deserve an apology. They had to hear a vile and disgusting word aimed at them. Again he's not at fault for saying it, but you can still apologize if you know your actions hurt someone.
@ToastYime@DominicHailsto1 You keep saying choosing, it is a hurtful word that is used specifically against African Americans. Also, your "not surprised" statement makes no sense, because if anything my two takes do not align. It tells me what I need what I need to know about you.
@DominicHailsto1@ToastYime "deeply mortified if anyone considers my involuntary tics to be intentional or to carry any meaning" is not an apology, it's saying I'm "I'm sad if anyone thought this". It should be, "I'm sorry those two men had to hear that word".
@ToastYime@DominicHailsto1 No, not for the disability, but if you harm someone accidentally, then yes. The blind person would be apologizing for crashing, not for being blind. Because my point is, disabilities do limit places you can go and activities you can do, ie fly an airplane.
@DominicHailsto1@ToastYime I don't think so. If I accidentally knock you over because I have muscle spasms, I didn't intend to, but I'd still apologize.
I feel the response you have would be warranted if he apologized and they were being ignorant of his disability.
