@JenniHalton It was indeed, with some judicious editing from @TalkingPicsAD (Just seen this: shows how often I look at Twitter!) Thanks for the ‘bump’ (@BetterPicsAD )
@themanwith1arse @_NatashaDevon @Twitter The only way Twitter changes is by losing users. If you stay and have long, angry discussions about trolls, and misogynistic racists etc etc then they *love* that, because it generates engagement. If it’s important to you that you stay, self-care is paramount: use ‘block’.
@themanwith1arse @_NatashaDevon @Twitter No, I’m saying exactly that: Twitter is the problem. Twitter is the scorpion on the frog’s back. You can campaign for better self-regulation within the Twitter eco system, but you might have more luck trying to change the scorpion.
Man is man and a mixture
Right down from his very birth:
There’s part of ‘im comes from ‘eaven
An’ part of ‘im comes from Earth;
There’s summat that draws ‘im upwards
An’ summat that drags ‘im down.
The consequence is, ‘e wobbles,
Twixt muck an’ a golden crown. 2/2
A random memory from the days when I walked among the faithful. Faith departed, but the rhyme still sums up the human condition pretty well (read in a Yorkshire accent): 1/2
@drhappy Some of us struggle with the idea of ‘put on this Earth to be’. That may bring meaning to some, but it feels like a delusion to others: we weren’t ‘put’, we just ‘are’. Sometimes it’s a challenge for that to be enough.
@Zoom Can you add 'Audio Description' to your list of Translation channels? We are using this feature for live-streamed theatre performances over Zoom, and it's confusing for our visually impaired audience to tell them to switch to French. @audiodescribe#AudioDescription
@JamieChambers_ @actthemacklin As an actor himself, I think he's entitled to a little self-deprecatory humour. I appreciate that Tweets tend not to come with much in the way of context.
