@legaltweetz Deranged.
After this no sane person is going to trust you, or take you seriously.
This behavior is not at all that of a gentleman, nor that of a scholar.
@OstinatoRigore4@BevJacksonAuth If a girl is convinced that she is a boy, then that is either a fantasy or a delusion. That the brain is the origin of this conviction is irrelevant, since convictions are produced by the brain.
@Provokatov That's very easy to say for someone who apparently has no idea about the debilitating effects that trauma can have, even half a lifetime later.
In my case I did relatively well until I was ~25, when suddenly the dam broke and everything came crashing down.
@TracycCoyle@SwipeWright@HHSGov What's your point then? Afaict nothing you stated or quoted contradicts the definition of male/female that @SwipeWright provided. In-utero hormone exposure influences masc/feminization, but (as you acknowledge) that does not imply a change of sex.
@TracycCoyle@SwipeWright@HHSGov A female with masculinized behavior is still a female, wouldn't you agree?
The paper does not state "when females are given high T in utero, they become [as children] males".
@Catholicizm1 Initially parents were told that it would curb masturbation, which they believed to be harmful at the time. When that rationale was no longer popular, the new justification became that it was needed for proper hygiene and to prevent disease.
@OstinatoRigore4@KnownHeretic Is core gender identity the same concept though as "gender identity" used by transgender activists? It doesn't seem to be, since as I understand from your writing, CGI refers to our internal knowledge of what our sex is, so it's not related to gender as separate from sex. Agreed?
@DrDelisted@BuenoForMiami If infant circumcision is necessary to maintain proper hygiene amongst kids, how do you explain this is not a problem in European countries where this practice isn't common?
@NJBeisner Agreed. It's a barbaric practise, inexplicably still present in some civilized countries, where hygiene is used as a post-hoc justification. In reality cleaning is a complete non-issue for intact men. It takes all of 3 seconds at most.
@NJBeisner Women have every right to an opinion on this subject, since it pertains to the sons they birth, whose welfare they have responsibility for. Thank you for standing up for boys' bodily integrity 🙏
@SwipeWright Physics cannot currently explain consciousness and it's conceivable that it never will. Therefore IMO it's quite reasonable to consider consciousness as metaphysical. The evidence you give points to consciousness needing a physical brain to interact with the physical world.
@atalanta44 @RealityEnthusi2 Interesting. I wonder how they can distinguish genes that contribute to properties we consider masculine/feminine from those associated with masculine/feminine *identity* 🤔
@i_iratus You claim that Italy's motivation for banning surrogacy is "to dismantle LGBTQ rights". How can you tell this is the motivation, rather than, say, a principled objection against surrogacy in general, regardless of the sexual orientation or gender identity of the would-be parents?
@CaraPac46808618@FluffAnecdote@nickwallis Your position is exactly that: logically inconsistent: you recognize that a male and a female are required for sexual reproduction, but still maintain that sex is nothing but a social construct.
