On the 3rd anniversary of October 7, it’s important to remember the full hideous horror of what Hamas did that day to the Israeli people - and to condemn it, unequivocally.
Those who still refuse to condemn it are complicit in supporting terrorism.
Fair play to Anne Hegerty from the Chase game show. Someone had to say it.
The Greens have just voted that Zionism is racism, then told Jewish members not to take it personally. She answered Carla Denyer in one line:
“Tell you what. Get your Muslim members to promise they will never attend a mosque that criticises homosexuality. Then we’ll talk.”
That’s it. That’s the double standard, said out loud. One lot get told their faith is a problem. The other lot don’t even get asked. Glad a public figure still has the nerve to speak out for what is right.
Well Done Ann 👏👏👏
I’ve kept my mouth shut over the Macklemore and Ed Sheeran situation because it’s honestly dumb, but a few things here…
1. The stadiums have been packed out every time. These photos are clearly from before the concert began.
2. “Pro-Palestinian” boycotts do nothing. If you actually wanted to boycott Israel you’d all throw your phones away. You can’t boycott Israel when it becomes inconvenient for you, because you’re all virtue signalers.
3. Ed Sheeran literally got on the stage and cried, (clearly because he was pressured and facing immense hate and backlash because he said the situation all around was horrible and we should seek unity and peace) apologized in a way, and you guys still say he’s “endorsing Israel’s genocide.”
4. Ed Sheeran isn’t even the one responsible for dropping Macklemore. It’s the promoters, which he’s clarified himself, yet you guys are too dense and have decided to attack him for not screaming “it’s a genocide!!! FREE PALESTINE!!”
For the record: Ed Sheeran specifically addressed October 7th in his speech tonight, saying, “What happened in Israel at the Nova music festival on October 7th was horrific and compounded centuries of Jewish pain.”
He’s probably one of the ONLY artists who has specifically acknowledged the Nova music festival by name. He’s not going to make everyone happy, obviously. But give the guy credit for saying it. And as he said, he’s there to talk about MUSIC, not politics. Give the guy some grace and respect, and move on.
I stand 100% behind Ed Sheeran. I would never abandon an artist over politics! Everyone has the right to speak out about politics or not! He chooses not to, and that’s fine by me! ❤️

It’s really not complicated.
Hamas are bad.
The Israeli government are bad.
The vast majority of Jewish people and Palestinians are just ordinary, decent people trying to get on with their lives.
Why are so many people afraid to say this?
This has to be one of the dumbest controversies on the internet this week
Ed Sheeran vs Macklemore.
People bought tickets to hear Ed Sheeran. Not to get lectured by the opener.
Macklemore had two nights at MetLife and used them to turn Ed’s show into his own political event. “Free Palestine,” the protest song, Gaza footage on the screens. That’s not bravery. That’s taking someone else’s stage and making it about you.
And let’s be real about whose stage it was. Ed Sheeran is one of the biggest pop artists alive. Stadiums. Worldwide tours. Songs that actually last. Macklemore had a huge run over a decade ago and has been chasing relevance ever since. That’s why he was opening, not headlining. He didn’t build this tour. He borrowed it.
Then the venues said they wouldn’t host the dates if he stayed on. Kraft and the other owners aren’t required to hand him a microphone. The promoter isn’t required to risk canceling shows and wrecking it for hundreds of thousands of people who paid to Sheeran. He said it wasn’t even his decision. He also said he wasn’t going to blow up the tour, the crew, and the fans because his opener wanted a campaign stop.
That’s not “silence.” That’s not complicity. That’s the headliner refusing to let a support act tank the whole run.
Now the left is doing what it always does. Instant outrage. Instant boycotts. Instant “Ed Sheeran is complicit” posts from people who were never going to that show anyway. It’s performative. It’s the same woke script: hijack something normal, demand everyone clap, then scream when the adults in the room say no.
Macklemore can say whatever he wants on his own stage. He doesn’t get Ed Sheeran’s audience by default. The other openers walking off in solidarity can do that too. Fine. Don’t pretend Sheeran is the villain for keeping a concert a concert.
If you want a rally, throw your own. Don’t crash a Loop Tour date and then act shocked when the venues shut it down.
To all the actors, musicians and other celebrities:
We don’t give a fuck about your political views or ideologies.
When I watch a movie, I’m trying to escape reality, not to be lectured by an actor who believes fame and money makes them morally superior.
When I pay to attend a concert, I’m there for the music. If you stop the show to scream political slogans and demand that the audience repeat them, fuck right off. You’ve lost me as a fan.
Celebrities seriously need to check their egos. You are not as important, influential or universally adored as you think you are.
We love the characters you play and the music you create. That doesn’t mean we worship the person behind them.
Entertain us. Spare us the sermon.
Sorry. Not sorry.
There is a quiet majority of gay men who simply want to work, maintain relationships, and move through the world without turning orientation into a full-time brand or political obligation. The louder voices treat that preference as a form of betrayal or internalized shame. It is neither. It is the original goal.
"If the chase was called off earlier, lives might have been saved"?
Maybe try “if 5 feral rat kids including your son hadn’t nicked a car for entertainment purposes, lives might have been saved.”
The police have absolutely no questions to answer.
The fucking state of them.
Personally I'm glad they've been removed from society, I'm devastated that they've taken two good people with them.
RIP, PC Clough & PC Blades 💙
Here we go again….
It’s no longer credible to dismiss this with the words ‘it’s called summer’. African summer maybe but not traditional British summer. And no significant rain in some parts now for over 50 days. Whatever we put the reason down to our climate is definitely changing. And pretty dramatically too.
Yeah, where they will probably enjoy some time in a pool to cool off before retreating into the air-conditioned hotel and room.
It’s completely different.
Nobody is claiming hot days didn’t exist in the 70s. The point is that they’re becoming more frequent, lasting longer, and reaching higher temperatures. One hot summer isn’t climate change. A long-term trend of hotter summers is.
That is literally climate change.
