What about Gregorian dates? We kept central ring as Devanagri only and inserted Gregorian dates for festivals on the side. This is a risk, but without it, the tithi and the nakshatra would never be "recognised". This is one aspect we continue to receive feedback on.

Thoughts from the Vikram Samvat 2080 calendar design. As we set out making a visual panchanga the grand idea was to change the way the calendar was visualised. Simply put we thought it deserved better design than the typical grid + date format that obscures everything else.
