Great that the UN Secretary General speaks out so passionately about the Palestinians every day. Some 10,000 have died since Hamas killed 1,400 Israelis.
But where were the daily protests by Guterres while over 300,000 Tigrayans were killed, day by day?
#Eritrean#Ethiopian#Amhara forces & their allies massacre of hundreds of Axum civilians may amount to a Crime Against Humanity @amnesty interviewed 41 survivors & witnesses to mass killings on 28-29 Nov. 2020, which killed almost 1000 civilians in Axum. #AxumMassacre

#Ethiopia: #Tigray interim admin requests immediate start of political dialogue with federal gov’t

In the joint statement the two sides released following the Pretoria talks, they have agreed to take “transitional measures that include the restoration of Constitutional order in the Tigray region, a framework for the settlement of political differences, and a Transitional Justice Policy framework to ensure accountability, truth, reconciliation, and healing.”
Amanuel said that as of now, the people of Tigray do not have access to “full budget” support and other constitutional rights that can only be solved by kick starting the political dialogue immediately. It is also important to sustain the peace and to enable the people of Tigray solve and cope with the countless problems they are forced to endure.
❗ #Ethiopia Orthodox Church halfhearted and forced apology to the people of #Tigray leaves a lot to be desired.
#Tigray the base and the vessel of #Ethiopia Orthodox Church has been declared a war on, invaded by a foreign country, its religious and cultural heritage artifacts have been looted and destroyed, Its churches have been desecrated, while Ethiopia Orthodox Church chose not only silence, but through some of its leaders active participation of these crimes.
♦ This 'apology' should have address this.
Members of its synod have publicly, supported and participated to declare war on people of #Tigray, going as far as to say, "we choose to be ruled by a devil". The church's clerical titles are still carried by horrific genocidal maniacs, who demanded people of #Tigray to be wiped out like those of Tasmania.
♦This 'apology' should have excommunicated those characters from the church.
The people of #Tigray have been severely damaged physically and psychologically by the actions and non-actions of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church.
♦This 'apology' should have been with compensation to that loss.
Though the church has a long way to go to atone itself from what it has done to its faithful and circumstances forced it to issue a timid apology, it can use it to further rectify of its wrongdoings.
@HenokAbebe_@reda_getachew You are a good law player and dictating the constitution but failed to condemn the forceful occupation. You and alike are making the lives of the poor miserable.
the Amhara region. In light of continued flagrant violations of the Constitution & the Pretoria agreement by the Regional Authorities over the last several months, the latest report by the Federal Ministry of Education is yet another addition to an increasingly dangerous pattern.
An official report by the FDRE Ministry of Education https://t.co/LwKa1kSt5V makes it abundantly clear that the ministry has no intention to even pretend to pay lip service to the Pretoria Agreement-much less to the FDRE Constitution-by including legitimate Tigray territories in
