@andyburnham I, in Devon, don’t need decisions made in “The North”. Devolve the power to the regions if you think it will benefit everyone. Central government doesn’t have to move. It’s a ridiculous gimmick using the north/south divide as an excuse and is furthering even more division.

We have ONE main road. ONE main rail line. Cornwall has ONE hospital. Where I live has ONE bus a day, none on Sunday.

@DeOne___ It’s not just the North that has issues. The far South West, Cornwall in particular, also suffers. He’s blinkered against the South EAST and lumps the whole of the South together. His northern bias is the thing that worries me most. PM for the WHOLE UK? Doesn’t seem like it

@Keir_Starmer I’d rather you re-opened the rail links to rural areas and built housing in the now dead city centres. No one shops there anymore. Create vibrant residential areas with housing, restaurants and markets with decent parking and transport links to out of town shopping and beyond.
