@KColbertReport What national implications are you worried about? In 2024, nationwide, the Popular Vote went R+2.6 leading to a R+2.7 seat advantage.
Democrats didn't touch mid cycle redistricting until Trump insisted Texas do it.
Why are you so scared of proportional representation?
@erickson_68@LizBrownUS@csmonitor What about Fort Wayne being split into 3 separate districts?
We gerrymander about as bad as they do already.
Nationally, the 2024 maps delivered exact proportional representation. Only reason to redistrict right now is being power hungry.
@nickroberts317@KyleCWalker Kyle Walker has represented us well. I don't always agree with him, but I do believe he's acting in good faith for the betterment of our community based on what he believes is right. I respect his character.
New: A fourth Indiana Senate Republican has been subjected to attempts to “intimidate me and threaten violence at my home” amid a pressure campaign on redistricting.
I’ve been briefed on additional swatting attempts targeting Hoosier state lawmakers. This is unacceptable and those responsible must be held accountable.
On both the state and federal levels, we need to lower the temperature and debate issues with civility.
@de_antiwoke@Jim_Banks Nationally in 2024:
Popular Vote: R+2.6
Seats: R+2.7
Our maps perfectly mirrored popular support in 2024. Odd you would want to change that.
