To be fair @lner this may be due to peak time travel but e.g. 27/08/21 14.03 from London-Kirkcaldy as a single ticket £154.40, or on the same train L-E £79.20 + E-K £8.90. Total £88.10. A significant £66.30 or 42% saving.

@LNER @trainline @AvantiWestCoast @Meg_HillierMP @CitizensAdvice I disagree Steven. I recently travelled with LNER from London to Kirkaldy. The quoted direct price was approx £159. If I bought separate tickets from London to Edinburgh and Edinburgh to Kirkaldy the price came down below £90.
