@JollesMary I am so sorry about your loss. Losing a beloved husband is so difficult. The good news about grief: you WILL eventually feel better. The bad news: it takes a really long time.
@rey_of_liqht @MamamacSue@jsparkblog Not sure…! But also, someone responded to my post and said I shouldn’t use the word “politically correct” either. Did you see that comment? I’ll add it to the list!
@OuchieTimes@MamamacSue@jsparkblog I know…me too, right? Folks just seemed so neutral. All I know is an African American student berated a professor friend of mine for using folks and I just assumed it had significance. Language is easy to change so I did.
@bluejays905@MamamacSue@jsparkblog That’s ok. Compared to mean comments others have made on various topics I am surprised how nice everyone has been about this! I’m going to follow you bluejay!
@bluejays905@MamamacSue@jsparkblog Yep…just going through life trying to do the right thing! Didn’t really think about it but a black student berated a professor friend of mine for using “folks” so I figured there was something to it.
@sagamaraia @sickafterfive @jsparkblog I was describing some symptoms to my friend who is a doc. He said, “I have just TWO WORDS for you.” Ashamed, I said, I know…lose weight. He looked at me confused and said, “No, FLU SHOT!” Changed my perspective on my own thinking!
@drjoshfunk@DrZoffness Sorry…just have to comment! @drjoshfunk you SO don’t get it. Frustrating! PLEASE get some sensitivity training. You seem too young to be holding onto archaic ideas.
@ApeIsrael@CHSommers@micsolana This whole thing just gets more and more hilarious. I do feel for the dog, however, and @Apelsrael does have a good point.
