@DavidGauke@ConHome Hi @DavidGauke thoughtful as always. Would love to talk about routes back in for centre right politics - as you say a structural gap in our political system and many others, with a significant voter base but without apparent traction. And commensurate loss to political discourse
@Fly_Norwegian not good enough! Flying us from Stockholm to Gatwick, the fog diverting to go to Dublin for fuel and now back to Stockholm again. There won’t be other flights so we’re going to be stuck for days. So 450 days of your customers time because you can’t fly a new crew?
News: @EIB & WHO sign an initial contribution of €10 million to kickstart the implementation of investment plans under the Health Impact Investment Platform.
The platform is a key part of an effort to unlock €1.5 billion in concessional loans and grants to expand and improve primary healthcare services in low- and middle-income countries, especially in the most vulnerable communities.
The investment plans now being developed in 15 countries, as a phase 1, are expected to make up a significant proportion of that financing effort.

I have finally decided to get on X.
There is a new era in politics and much of importance to be debated, particularly in respect of our relationship with our European neighbours.
Please do follow.
With all the talk of Farage and the future of the Conservative Party, a reminder of a book warning of the perils of populism and setting out an alternative approach.

I'm on my spare account again as it looks like someone hacked my main one again. I can't access it. Though it doesn't seem to be spewing garbage about bitcoin yet.
Every few years, I search for this 2019 clip of Blair again. The bluntness of his ‚power is power!‘ doesn‘t only apply to geopolitics, but equally to energy policy & the delayed energy transition. Raw power. No longer a lack of technologies or knowledge.
