@UBS among first institutions to sign access agreements for @The_DTCC ’s newly launched tokenization service
UBS is among 20 DTC participants that have signed agreements to access the DTCC Tokenization Service (DTS), launched on 28 October.
Operated by DTC, DTCC’s depository subsidiary, the service enables tokenized representations of eligible DTC-custodied securities while preserving their ownership rights, investor protections and economic entitlements.
DTS launches with connectivity to the @CantonNetwork and DTCC’s private Besu network, with additional blockchain networks planned for 2027.
For institutional tokenization, the launch marks a step towards connecting established securities infrastructure with blockchain-based markets.
