It’s hard to trust in the sincerity of those saying they want to solve aging by focusing on AI when they did not take any action to promote solving aging with existing tools five years ago when the prospect of AI driven exponential progress was nowhere on the horizon.
Now, it may be true that AI is the best lever to accelerate a solution to aging, but if there are any components that are uniquely necessary for aging, such as specific data that needs to be collected, specific automations in labs, and other tools to compress biological innovation cycles or simulation, it's rational to be concerned that those may still not be prioritized.
So yes, we can acknowledge AI as a huge and possibly the biggest lever, but let’s focus on it with the correct maximizing function.

There could never be a space economy without low-cost flights.
The plain fact of the matter is that SpaceX has enabled the existence of the space economy.
Video from a different vantage point shows Starship Booster never came even close to hitting the tower.
As far as I can tell, this was as perfect of a Mechazilla catch as SpaceX could have hoped for.
