@RepNancyMace You had better hope you never get cancer and need a mastectomy or a hysterectomy or estrogen blockers, particularly if such treatments might have been tested in animals.
@RutRoRaggy309@2foodie@GOPMajorityWhip@WalterHudson None of the videos show the victim holding a gun. But ICE is supposed to have body cams. It’s official policy, plus there’s a court order requiring it. So why haven’t we seen that video? Did they not use body cams b/c they didn’t want evidence? Or did they just erase the videos?
@ConkinFamily@joshgerstein DoJ attorneys admitted to practice in at least one state can represent the government in any federal court. Non-government attorneys would have to be specifically admitted to practice in the Virginia federal court (EDVa) or be working with a local attorney.
@DHSgov The TRO was entered and served via the court’s electronic filing system (ECF) on 10/23. They deported the person on 10/24. So the statement that the person was deported before ICE was served with the TRO is provably false. Not the first time ICE has violated a court order.
@TriciaOhio To be clear, the Chicago Sun article where this picture appeared reported that a boy was arrested, held incommunicado in a garage for five hours, then released without any charges being filed. Protesting is legal in the US. The Feds were out of line. https://t.co/dXkzZvSnwK
@RedAlertFlorida @ABC Yet Tim Walz seems to have been on his kill list. He’s plainly a nut job, so trying to attribute some coherent political philosophy is probably a waste of time, just as it was with the two right wingers who tried to assassinate Trump.
@MrAndyNgo@dieworkwear In 1969, South Vietnam had an extremely corrupt government, there was a war going on, and millions of people had been displaced. I’m a little skeptical of your premise that it was impossible for a South Vietnamese family to slip out during all that chaos.
@WhiteHouse@nytimes@ChrisVanHollen The Supreme Court ordered Trump to “facilitate” his return. Now Trump admits the President of El Salvador is calling all the shots here. Trump is way too scared to even ask for the guy to be sent back. SO WEAK!
@CivicsUnbound@rparloff@lawfare@AnnaBower It probably wouldn’t be the DOJ. It would be specific individuals, maybe including DoJ lawyers and the people who gave declarations - people who lied to the court, refused to comply with court orders, that sort of thing. She has considerable power to punish the attorneys.
I’ve taken the Senate floor and will speak for as long as I’m physically able to lift the voices of Americans who are being harmed and not being heard in this moment of crisis. Watch here: https://t.co/oN0WUxF0si
NEW! Sworn declarations filed last night confirm the Trump admin sent INNOCENT people to rot in prison El Salvador, including a professional soccer player tortured by the Maduro regime who entered this country LEGALLY to seek asylum and has NO CRIMINAL RECORD in either country.
@AngelaBecker66@Irishgirllanc@nayibbukele All the evidence in the case shows that innocent people were deported illegally. The tattoo that you thought showed gang membership is the Real Madrid soccer team logo. The government is STILL unable to provide any evidence to support its position.

@gods10rules@ErrolWebber@Irishgirllanc@nayibbukele The Alien Enemies Act, which is the purported legal basis for deportation here, specifically provides court jurisdiction. Deportation requires a hearing before the court.
50 U.S. Code § 23

@gods10rules@ErrolWebber@Irishgirllanc@nayibbukele If the government had evidence they were here illegally or committed any crime, it could present the evidence to a court and deport them. But the government doesn’t seem to have any evidence, and so far hasn’t even been able to identify who they deported.
@idahocountrydoc@Irishgirllanc@nayibbukele How do you know all this? The government hasn’t even identified them or charged them with any crime. That’s why the judge tried to block the deportation. It is not normal to round up people and ship them to concentration camps in other countries.
