One of the hardest things to do in recruiting is getting a parent to accept that, at this moment, their kid may not be a D1 prospect.
Parent: “Five of his teammates have D1 offers.”
Me: “But he doesn’t have any right now, correct?”
Parent: “No.”
Me: “So what does that tell you, sir?”
This isn’t about disrespecting a kid or killing a dream. It’s about being realistic about where they are RIGHT NOW and figuring out what needs to improve.
Recruiting isn’t based on what your teammates have. Every prospect is evaluated individually.
Sometimes the best thing you can give a student-athlete isn’t hype—it’s an honest evaluation and a plan to get better.
Dream D1. But don’t overlook D2, D3, NAIA or JUCO opportunities chasing a logo.

Been on the phone with several CFB refs/officials this morning
They are in complete agreement last night's outcome in Michigan is one of the most inexplicable they've ever seen
More on today's show (1e/12c)
@Raestaketv His statements will be misconstrued by certain online-speed-charlatans that he doesn't do tempo. V.A. is talking endurance-stuff like mile runs. V.A. programs tempo for sure. Mostly intensive tempo...
SECTION 5; ARTICLE 3. The referee...shall disqualify a competitor who:
...
c. Veers to the right or to the left so as to flagrantly impede a challenging runner or forces the challenging runner to run a greater distance.

Will Rashee Rice address the Chiefs?
Will Josh Jacobs address the Packers?
Will Deshaun Watson ever address his 27 lawsuits with his teammates?
Double standards, folks.
#Giants QB Jaxson Dart addressed teammates in a meeting yesterday to discuss his introduction of President Trump last week, sources tell me and @RapSheet.
Other team leaders spoke up as well, and Dart and the players worked through it. They are moving forward.
