@MC_of_A@souljagoyteller It's interesting that Denmark and greece both won the euros, whereas the world cup has been such a closed shop. I always wondered if having fewer direct ko games helped. Odds of a smaller country winning 5 in a row must be pretty long.
@MC_of_A@ettingermentum He might get better. I'd say that after 19 most players improve, but not all. Sancho got worse, mbappe has stayed at about the same level. We'll see. Wonderful player who I would expect to get more consistent, but no guarantees.
@DamiAwobajo No idea what they were checking. The hakimi tackle and penalty foul were no brainers. Maybe there was something else? But can't blame that for the miss!
@avrelianvsro @LeonKrauze Because most of it isn't relevant to this case, just a list of examples. And what evidence do we have that the slo-mo was used to judge the intensity of the tackle? But I don't think we'll agree on this, no problem
@DougRose1232 I think nearly everyone is angry at fifa and nobody else, despite how it may seem on twitter at times. If they had just said "actually, we think the ref got it wrong, so we are overturning the decision" I really think very few people would have minded.
@DougRose1232 I think it shouldn't have been a red card. Some people think it should have been. It falls in that subjective zone - it was not an incorrect decision. The fact FIFA has not said that it is incorrect, but decided the punishment can be skipped is what makes it unprecedented.
@MC_of_A The refusal to stop play for injured players/warning players they will be off for a minute if they do stop play is making a huge difference imo. There are times it feels a little unfair, but definitely a net win.
@dg14sII@danielstorey85 Don't have particularly strong feelings about arsenal, probably just about wanted them to win yesterday. Just felt like another moment of spontaneous joy/anger/emotion that had a bit of life sucked out of it.
