So delighted there's a new series of the "If You're Listening" podcasts: #AustraliaIfYoureListening. These are amongst my favorite podcasts of all time! Thanks, @MatthewBevan Love your work!
Found this creature on the concrete outside my house (in Melbourne, AU). Any ideas what it might be? (Apart from proof that the xenomorphs from "Alien" are real, of course.) #weirdanimals#Australiananimals
@MatthewBevan@bencubby It's a hoax, but a clever one. Check the comment by Avery Howard on the original post. It was originally a linguistic map of the terms "potato cake," "potato scallop," etc.
Just arrived in @flyLAXairport after 24-hour flight. Man at info desk pointed me to a @BankofAmerica ATM. The ATM just swallowed my card and screen went black. Info man didn't care. So lost my credit card in 1st minute of 3-month trip! Disgusted with Bank of America and LAX. 😡
Took @skybus_aus yesterday to MEL airport. Couple sat beside me and refused to wear masks after I asked them to. I informed the driver, but he said there was nothing he could do, just move to another seat. If mask rules are not enforced, I don't feel safe on @skybus_aus.
So sad and frustrated the 7.45am ABC news bulletin has ended. I've listened my whole life. 😥 I blame #ScottMorrison and the Coalition government for failing to fund the ABC adequately.
The end of an era. Majestic Fanfare played for the last time on ABC’s last ever 7.45 am radio news bulletin. This service has been part of Australia’s aural culture since 1939 .. axed today 20/9/20.. a victim of LNP @ScottMorrisonMP @HonTonyAbbott ABC defunding.
So, no 7.45am ABC news this morning. I’ve reported for that bulletin, been a sub-editor for that bulletin. Like millions of Australians, I’ve listened to it most of my life. To axe it is an act of contemptuous, ignorant vandalism. RT if you agree,
