Former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg was the target of an anonymous report that police determined was false and that he says forced him to spend a night away from his four-year-old twins. https://t.co/UGJlCMbdgn
A brand new bridge between Detroit and Canada is finished and ready to open. It would speed up traffic for millions of trucks, cut delays for American businesses, and help the auto industry that employs people in every state. There is just one problem.
Donald Trump won’t let it open.
Here is why.
The family that owns the old bridge stands to lose business when the new one opens. So in January, they gave one million dollars to a pro-Trump super PAC.
Weeks later they met with Trump’s Commerce Secretary.
He called Trump.
Hours after that, Trump announced he would block the new bridge. The opening was set for June 12. It got canceled the day before. The bridge sits there finished and empty.
Now here is the part that should make every taxpayer angry.
Canada paid for the entire bridge.
Every dollar. And the United States already owns half of it for free. Trump is holding up a bridge we got for nothing, to protect a donor who wrote him a check, while picking a fight with our closest ally and biggest trading partner.
This is corruption in plain sight.
A billionaire pays, and the President delivers. American workers and businesses pay the price.
Open the bridge. A government should work for the people, not for whoever writes the biggest check.

@TELUSsupport Troubleshooting with AI tells me my cable box needs to be replaced. It is powered on but completely unresponsive to the remote and sending no picture. Impossible to pair despite many attempts- can you (human please) help me ?
63 federal courts threw out all of Trump’s BS claims.
All of them. The Supreme Court rejected all of Trump’s BS claims. He now screams and cuts off interviews because he constantly lies about elections being rigged. He’s projecting again.
Fellow Canadian conservatives: please reflect on this poll.
Yes, the US and is and always will be our largest trading partner.
And yes, we have to find a modus vivendi with whoever is in the White House, even a President who flippantly insults and threatens us.
But it is self-defeating to attack the Prime Minister for trying to diversify away from our imprudent dependence on an unreliable US market.
Have the humility to listen to Canadians.
Stop dismissing Trump’s attacks as a distraction, or worse yet, as somehow justified.
And heed the wise words of @stephenharper:
"Canada must adapt to new geopolitical realities. To be clear, these realities mean we must reduce our dependence on the U.S."

To understand how wrong & corrupt this is, imagine President Obama picked his personal lawyer to be Attorney General. And then imagine Obama & his AG set up a $1.8 billion taxpayer-funded slush fund to reward his political friends & go after his political enemies. And imagine Obama set it up with no outside accountability or oversight, but instead his AG appointed 5 “friends of Obama” to oversee the fund. If Obama had done that, it would be unprecedented, corrupt, & wrong, correct? And Hannity & the rest of Fox News would be screaming, correct?
No matter how long it takes, it will be essential to someday figure out and hold accountable the people profiting off these constant and absurd leaks of imminent peace often to the same outlet.
Joe Rogan slams Trump’s DOJ:
“The whole is Epstein thing is so crazy, the fact that no one has gone to jail for that. Here’s what’s crazy. No arrests. No one’s being brought in. Meanwhile, Comey is getting arrested for a photo of seashells that say ’86 47’.
If you get fired, what happened to Mike? He got 86ed. It doesn’t mean you got killed. But this is a crazy thing to arrest someone for. The problem with these guys is it sets a crazy precedent…
This is a slippery f*cking slope you’re going down.”
