What a night! Talk about uplifting.
It was one of the greatest joys of my career to MC the TechDiversity Awards this year.
The winners included Indigenous-owned social enterprise, Fire and Wattle, Deadly Coders, Uniting NSW.ACT, My QuitBuddy, and Vantari VR.
Onward and upward!
“There’s absolutely zero duty of care, absolute zero care for you as a human. There’s zero care for your well-being, for your mental state. Absolutely nothing of that.”
Massive respect for lived experience advocates like Luke who've bravely shared their experiences at the Senate inquiry into the government's inadequate gambling bills. Their honesty and clarity will help protect families and communities from the harms caused by the predatory gambling industry.
The government must implement all recommendations of the Murphy Review, which includes an immediate ban on inducements.

Thanks @lunns@australian for this important story. Kaylee follows sound medical advice to minimise her chances of developing #MyalgicEncephalomyelitis from glandular fever. Sady, thousands of Aussies haven't recovered post-virally bc doctors lack #MECFS education @TraceySpicer
@c_j_schweitzer She was excellent, along with the entire cast. Although I said to my husband afterwards that these scenes represented his dreams - Charlize is his favourite!!! I'm unsure whether he would have left that island...
Have you seen The Odyssey? OMG, THE PIG SCENE!
It's an outstanding film, centred on the hubris of man and the folly of war. Christopher Nolan has structured the narrative beautifully, like the epic poem.
This release is well-timed. Wonder if they'll watch it in the White House?
