Planting trees in forgotten corners of East London. Photos to follow once Trees established enough to not be mown down by our *amazing* local authorities
Ignoring the doubling in vehicles on our roads in 30 years and that LTNs make roads over SIX times safer for pedestrians is poor journalism @josephharker
Also not a single home loses vehicular access. You just remove dangerous rat running.

@ihateyo24281890@CityPolice@cityoflondon My brother in christ, this road merges with Byward street and then the A1203, i.e. an unbelievably busy part of town.
This truck will be stuck in traffic at the *same* light long after the cyclist has already passed 3-4 junctions and reached tower bridge.
This road is SO dangerous for close passes @CityPolice@cityoflondon
Happens all the bloody time, especially on approach to the pedestrian islands. Drivers are extremely aggressive, only to be stuck at the red light down the road.
Leniency shown to a man who killed a woman and her unborn child, and who didn’t co-operate with Police when they were investigating. He’ll be out and in a car in <10 years.
Adil Iqbal killed pregnant mum Frankie Jules-Hough after filming himself driving at 123mph on a motorway.
Today, his 12-year sentence was ruled as unduly lenient and increased to 15 years. The maximum is life. What would need to happen to receive that?

Two things: 1. Geo-fencing and speed limiters should be mandatory in cars, trucks, and SUVs. 2. People known to police, with a long history of mental illness, shouldn’t be able to keep a driver’s license. What’re the chances we’ll see systemic changes after this horrific tragedy?
In response to a survey of motorists that go through Richmond Park, the Royal Parks have come up with a Code of Conduct for Cyclists, to help ensure Richmond Park is a safe place for everyone that uses the park.
The survey was carried out by going from car to car in all of the car parks, and posed the question:
What do you think causes the biggest challenge to road safety in Richmond Park?
a) Cyclists
b) Bicycles
c) Bicycle riders
d) All of the above
Results were encouraging, and the trustees agreed with the findings, and published a Code of Conduct for Cyclists.
Howard Cocks, spokeswoman for the Motoring Lobby of Motoring Lobbyists, wholeheartedly agreed with the survey, saying "They've hit this spot on. It's clear that cyclists that are causing all the problems in Richmond Park, and this War on Motorists has got to stop".
"La conductrice est obligée de stationner sur la route".
En fait non. Elle stationne sur un emplacement autorisé ou dans un parking, et ensuite elle utilise ses jambes, ce truc qui permet de se déplacer sans recourir systématiquement à une tonne de métal pour le moindre trajet.
@TheB1M Come on @TheB1M, everyone knows this project has been concocted out of thin air, and even if feasible, and even with council backing (which they don’t have), this project would prove to be a waste of money versus alternative uses. There’s so many car centric crossings in London.
Today is the universal daylighting hearing at the City Council! This morning, more than 130 New Yorkers rallied on the steps of City Hall to demand safer intersections.
@CMJulieWon's Intro 1138 is common-sense legislation that will save lives. It's time to pass it!
