Treeline is building the Modern IT Operating System – a software- and AI-powered foundation that redefines how IT, security, and compliance are delivered.
Hussain and I have spent two years on the problem space: IT and security services are at least a decade behind modern technology.
We didn't have everything figured out when we started, but we saw a gap and thought it was big enough to build something significant.
As we continue to bring what we’re building to market, we’re finding that the conversations feel intuitive - the model’s resonating with both operators and technology providers.
I’m excited about where the market is headed and we’ll be announcing more soon (particularly on the partnerships side).
Until then, here’s a quick reflection on the opportunity we saw within this market.
There's no shortage of flashy ideas in AI and tech right now.
The risk in this space is getting seduced by the shiny new point solution or the next-gen ticketing system - big promises but increased complexity.
Our answer is to meet the industry where it is. Deliver with our MSP partners, and move the industry forward incrementally. You can't just do that by selling a software product.

AI is changing how IT services get delivered, but what does that actually look like in practice?
Jeff Gaines (Treeline CGO) is joining Kyle Christensen from Elephant in the Room to get into it.

There's a difference between a business that uses AI and one that's built on it.
Jeff Gaines, Treeline CGO, on Evolved Radio explains what the difference is and how it affects end customers: https://t.co/xlNjfyERTl
Rich Freeman at @ChannelholicSMB is one of the most trusted voices in IT and security. I'm grateful he took the time to dig in.
We stayed quiet for two years - this is a complex category on the verge of significant change, and we're glad the story is finally out there:

Can you have too much SaaS?
Most businesses stitch together 30 to 35 software tools just to keep the lights on.
When we started Treeline, our first instinct was to build another software tool. We talked ourselves out of that fast.
Customers didn't need a 36th tool. They needed someone to rebuild the model underneath.
@PeterdoyleX on why we went back to the drawing board 👀👇
We’re excited to lead @treeline_AI’s Series A as they build the AI-enabled IT services provider.
More than 80% of U.S. businesses outsource IT to Managed Service Providers (MSPs) – specialized services firms that function as an external IT and security department.
The vast majority of MSPs are small lifestyle companies delivering service the same way they always have.
But advances in software and AI are making it possible to reimagine this legacy model.
Led by Peter Doyle and Hussain Kader, Treeline built a software layer that sits at the center of IT operations, standardizing workflows, automating routine work, and turning every resolved issue into an insight that makes the system smarter.
The result is IT that gets more efficient over time – noticing patterns, addressing root causes, and bringing humans in where expertise matters.
This represents something the IT industry hasn't seen before: leading human expertise and modern software, finally built into a single operating model.

@PeterdoyleX (@treeline_AI CEO) spent ten years investing in IT and security software.
He had a front-row seat to an industry that responded to every new problem the same way - more headcount, more software.
That's changed now. Read why.
For decades, businesses had two options for IT: build an internal team or outsource to a legacy provider.
Both are expensive, slow, and frustrating.
We built a third option so your team can focus on product, strategy, and growth.
