@StephenCM98@churchofengland@dioceseoflondon This worries me, so I have to ask what life experience have you had at your age that means you could possibly be ready to lead others who have more spiritual and life experience? Also, Jesus said, ‘You shall call no one ‘’Father’’ except your Father in heaven.’ Many questions.
@_Ellen_W@2D0XPS The pubs weren’t open at that time…? Always debate about whether it was purely ecstatic spiritual utterance or the surprising ability to speak in other languages. It’s not clear but I’ve settled on both-the important thing is that it happened and the Christian church went global
@KashPatelNewsX What do you mean by ‘even’? What is immoral and wrong needs to be sorted by justice and truth. Whoever it is… whether a pauper or a President. Especially a President who has sworn an oath.
@ThePosieParker So why is she prepared to ruin all that by her hysterical anti trans stance? She has hurt and upset many, many people who were HP fans but now can’t trust what she says and the way she says it. All so unnecessary and unpleasant. So disappointing. And unintelligent.
@sharrond62 I think this is probably fake news because anyone who lives in a rural area - which is a lot of us - has to have a car to survive as we often don’t have any public transport. This is an anti-Labour post?
@charliersmith1 That’s really brilliant, though I couldn’t run to save my life - literally! Remember that you aren’t defined by this illness, it isn’t you, you are far greater than this burden you carry. I hope you’ll find lots of ways to be able to lay it down and love yourself as you are loved
@CharlesRBissell @charliersmith1 How is a list of quotes and an order ever going to help someone find peace ? For the LOVE of God!! Some ‘Christians’ make me weep.
@SpyOnYou007@charliebelllive No, it’s the bigotry in comments below which tells Christians all they need to know - that you are blinded by the logs in your eyes and have brought the church into disrepute through your ignorance and inability to live by the greatest commandment.
@moral_vic37411@charliebelllive@ChurchTimes No, he (presumably?) is speaking his version of what he thinks is ‘the truth’. It denies Christian respect to many people whom God made and loves. I don’t think it should have been published in CT. It says more about arrogance and self-righteousness…with two logs for eyes maybe.
@charliersmith1 Bless you both! Go and find a church that will welcome you… if you want to… or start your own…if you want to. God made you and loves you and that’s all that matters. Be who He made and go in peace. 🎉💕
@StanFastic@ChaponaBike123@annalandre@networkrail Yes, it’s very important to make sure people know their place, especially disabled ‘freeloaders’. How dare they speak up for themselves! Didn’t know they could speak…etc. etc. 🤷🏻♀️😕
@HijsHoog @annalandre@networkrail Maybe one day in your life you will be disabled and then it will dawn on you why your attitude has been deeply unpleasant and discriminatory. Totally unnecessary.
@shawnwenzel@annalandre@networkrail UK still not designing their trains or other transport to cater equally for all passengers. Also a cultural problem where disabled people looked down on by some others as ‘not worthy’ of being treated with respect. Just ignorance, lack of education.
@william30726399@annalandre@networkrail Yes, but should disabled passengers have to be so ingratiatingly (falsely) thankful ALL the time? It’s like saying, ‘I’m so sorry for being disabled and spoiling your day…upsetting the status quo…I really should try not to be disabled next time.’ Ridiculous, right? Equality?
@JaneyCh36826594@annalandre@networkrail Unfortunately, disabled passengers have to be ingratiatingly thankful for every single little crumb of help… even if they are stuck on a platform for hours in the cold, or stuck on a train going miles away because no one could be bothered to get a ramp out…
@annalandre@networkrail So sorry you had this experience. My daughter uses an electric wheelchair so I recognise ALL the issues you’ve experienced and worse horror stories. Things have got better but there’s still cultural resistance about providing equal respectful treatment and accessibility.
