Who wouldn’t want to be the Chief Minister of an Indian state including @rajinikanth ?

However, there is an undeniable difference between popularity and power, because power demands decisive courage. Rajinikanth was presented with historic, open pathways in 1996, 2001, and post-2017, yet hesitating at every threshold cost him his moment.

Still I personally feel, Rajinikanth would have brought an uncommon decency to the office. M.K. Stalin actually shares much of that same gentle disposition, along with a similar reluctance to make hard, painful calls.

The true tragedy of Rajinikanth’s indecision isn’t just his own loss, it actually reshaped the entire political timeline. Had he taken power, his sheer, unassailable presence would have frozen Tamil Nadu's political hierarchy for several generations.

Current aspirants, including @TVKVijayHQ would have been forced to wait out his lifetime just to see a path forward. Rajini would have been an immovable, permanent Chief Minister.
Looking back, one can’t help but feel a quiet regret for him: he possessed the ultimate key to political destiny, yet lacked the resolve to turn it.

Now, after Vijay, we see Dhanush, Vishal, and perhaps even Surya lining up with eyes on that very same seat. A chair that was once celebrated and the highest honor of the State has suddenly become an open invitation for any film star with a fanbase. Well done, Gen Z.

It will be interesting to see how virtual warriors react if Modi were to announce @rajinikanth as the NDA's candidate for president of India in 2027.

Back in 2022, a senior TN BJP leader told me that such an idea had been discussed by the party leadership, but Rajinikanth was not interested at the time. If a similar offer is made in 2027 and he accepts, the political statures could change overnight.
I know there is one leader in NDA who is a close friend of Rajini very keen to lobby for him.

Times changes very quickly. What Vijay has achieved is phenomenal and must be celebrated. At the same time, there's no need to mock senior actors who chose not to enter politics.
