@TLDRNewsGlobal Hi TLDR, I watch your Nebulas and I appreciated the recent one about Moldova. I wanted to share your report with friends on Mastodon. Would you mind setting up an account there? Thanks!
@RisetteMD I have a different feeling about the Dr title for the person taking care of me. To me it means, "I'm vulnerable; remember your oath." So old MDs I've seen for 20 years can use my first name and I don't care.
@vaughandy@maxdkozlov@Nature@russellfunk@dashunwang@yian_yin MBAs killed the practice of medicine so I'm allergic to "disruptive" and other buzzwords. They use them to create a fake crisis in order to steal public money. Antivaxers are already using this paper to say, "less science policing!"
@kenklippenstein The Tesla stopping abruptly caused crowding of the following traffic resulting in a pile-up. Same thing happens when a street crowd moves out of an area. An obstacle in its path may trigger crushing injuries. Gas >> fluid.
@kenklippenstein Individual responsibility for collisions can't be assigned under conditions of crowding, as the movement of individuals becomes more like a fluid than a gas. There's subfield within physics describing how this works.
@TankBag@kenklippenstein Individual responsibility for collisions evaporates once density passes a certain threshold, as crowds behave more like fluids than gasses.
@matthewstoller As with many other large industries, airlines quietly became banks issuing and manipulating their own private currencies outside regulatory structures. The flying planes and selling tickets part isn't actually profitable.

Welcome to late capitalism.
@DrCanuckMD Not sure about MPA programs. They might be teaching new age woo or methods of cherry-picking facts to support pre-existing biases. Hopefully someone with check if other MPAs are causing trouble.
@doctorwes Certification used to be an achievement. Now its a subscription service. Don't do the busywork or pay the money... unemployable. Board cert precarity supposedly protects the public but the system seems redundant to state licensure requirements.
@spectreabyss @CaliPRICELLA@DilanPCook If Bernie's health is a problem, that's one thing. But if he imagines he has to honor a dumb rule that contradicts the whole "vote your conscience" thing, well I think that deserves more discussion.
@krystalball For-profit healthcare corps phoned Obama/Biden, the ACA guys who jacked their stonks, to run behind-the-scenes plays. They also threw zillions at cable news so pundits slagged socialized insurance while promoting the idea people love private insurance. Stoller left this part out.
@howisthewater@matthewstoller Healthcare corporations terrified of M4A phoned Obama/Biden, the ACA team that made them rich, to run behind-the-scenes plays. They also threw zillions at cable news, resulting in non-stop slander of socialized insurance while promoting the idea people like private insurance.
@PrinceNorodom@AnnAnne700@NomikiKonst Chris Matthews doesn't have "power" per se but he is a familiar presence within many homes. His emotional reaction is going to be accepted unconsciously by viewers as representative of popular or common opinion amongst liberal-leaning thought leaders.
@PrinceNorodom@AnnAnne700@NomikiKonst I reject "toxic bros" as a manufactured slander. I've seen no evidence that Sanders supporters are more malicious than supporters of other candidates. Hillary's team did the same thing to Obama with "Obama Boys."
@PrinceNorodom@AnnAnne700@NomikiKonst Maybe you saw YouTubes of Chris Matthews talking about Bernie's "socialist" movement rounding up people like him to be shot in Central Park. Or Chuck Todd calling Sanders' supporters "brown shirts." Or "how can Sanders be stopped" pundit panels. MSNBC got genuinely weird.
@PrinceNorodom@AnnAnne700@NomikiKonst "The 24-hour window following a primary is a critical time for setting a public narrative about which candidates are viable, have momentum, and seem presidential."

@PrinceNorodom@AnnAnne700@NomikiKonst 30 second ads are pissing in the ocean when cable news gives Biden hours of positive coverage while Bernie is selectively shown and nearly always in a negative light. Everyone will remember their TV friends pooping their pants over "socialism" after Bernie won Nevada.
