Senator Ted Cruz pushed back against Rep. Ogles’ now-deleted post saying that homosexuals have “no place” in America and marking “Happy Nuclear Family Month.”

“Well, I think for all of recorded history that homosexuals have been part of humanity, and you know, I got to say, I'm quite libertarian by nature. I think the behavior of consenting adults is their business,” said Cruz.

It's really astonishing that at a moment where many PCA'ers are frustrated at a church court, RZ's idea is to promote the PCUSA.

Y'know, the church that defrocked Machen for trying to spread the Gospel to foreign nations.

To those frustrated with the PCA:

Don't bother sticking with a denomination that was founding upon not sticking with the denomination.

It's clear now that splitting from a denomination due to liberalism does not solve the problem, it just delays it for you and makes it 10x worse for the people you split from.

It's time to abandon the failed experiment that is the PCA and come home to mother PCUSA, the church that helped build America.

Catching up this AM…

My good friend @ZacharyGarris, his sweet family, and his wonderful congregation deserved better treatment from Rio Grande Presbytery.

It is astounding to me that the men responsible for pastoring the regional expression of the PCA in New Mexico decided to bar a preacher from fulfilling his calling and rob a church of their minister over what amounts to banter on @X. I’ve seen the supposed victim of said banter post far worse (i.e., malicious) things online.

It is hard to conclude anything other than Rio Grande Presbytery chose vindictiveness over equity in finding Zach guilty and then levying a censure of indefinite suspension. This result is prima facie so incredibly over the top, out of balance, and inappropriate. But I confess that I don’t know all the facts of the case, and I’m certain that more of the story will be told on appeal to the PCA’s Standing Judicial Commission of the General Assembly.

May Christ’s honor and ministry in His Kingdom prevail over all folly and wickedness in His Church.
