@Teslarati Sure, and it's a natural reaction to intervene (for now at least), but seems like FSD was functioning properly here, avoiding the other car that clearly wasn't paying attention and doesn't seem like it would have hit the curb either.

YouTube has just taken down the political discussion clip about the EU's Chat Control, and the video is no longer viewable in the EU.

This has been confirmed by several parties. The video is still available outside the EU.

@puheenaihefi podcast is a Finnish current affairs program with 60k subscribers. In this episode, Peter Sund, CEO of the Finnish Information Security Cluster (Kyberala ry) offered pointed criticism of the EU's new Chat Control directive, which was enacted under questionable circumstances.

Because the media is in Finnish, it is highly likely the censorship request came from a Finnish government official or a related party.

This makes it troublesome.

Because the Finnish constitution §12 guarantees freedom of expression.

Preventing political publications is a criminal offence: Abuse of Official Position, punishable by a fine or imprisonment for up to two years.

Iltalehti julkaisi tänään maksumuurin takana vinkin: ”Unohda suomalaiset vastamelukuulokkeet, tässä parempi vaihtoehto.”

Pakkohan se oli lukea. Koska olemme käytännössä kategorian ainoa suomalainen valmistaja, viesti tuli perille. Kyllähän tästä oli mennä meni aamukahvit väärään kurkkuun. Onhan se vähän epäreilua tulla unohdetuksi juuri kun on hyvä vauhti maailmanvalloituksessa.

Henri kirjoitti aiheesta blogin. Se on rehellinen tilitys siitä, miltä tuntuu olla virallisesti ”unohdettava” suomalainen yritys ja miksi emme suostu katoamaan kartalta. Galaktinen herruus vaatii rahaa ja me tarvitsemme teidän rahojanne yhä aivan yhtä paljon kuin ennenkin.

Ei suomessa ole FSD:tä, ainoastaan ikivanha autopilot joka on vain kaistavahti. Pysyy siis sillä kaistalla mille kuljettaja on sen aktivoinut. Aika nopeasti sen kyllä pitäisi pysäyttää auto jos kuljettaja ei reagoi, ellei ole jotenkin onnistuttu kiertää. FSD osaisi kyllä väistää hälytysajoneuvot, mutta saapa nähdä yritetäänkö sen sallimista jotenkin viivästyttää. Siihen asti mennään tällä vaarallisemmalla versiolla 🤷‍♂️

Sain viestiä kansalaiselta.

Kaveri oli käynnistänyt pienimuotoisen yritystoiminnan vuonna 2024. Tuloja oli jonkin verran, mutta ei niin paljon että hän olisi voinut maksaa palkkaa tai osinkoja itselleen.

Nyt tammikuussa työeläkeyhtiöltä pamahti 27 000 euron yrittäjän eläkevakuutuslasku.

Miten tämä on mahdollista?

Eläkevakuutusmaksujen taustalla oleva "laskennallinen työtulo" tappaa uuden suomalaisen yrittäjyyden. Nykyiset eläkemaksut eivät perustu yrittäjän todelliseen tuloon, vaan johonkin täysin laskennalliseen saman alan työntekijän keskivertopalkkaan.

Yrittäjät joutuvat siis maksamaan eläkettä, vaikka eivät todellisuudessa tienaa mitään.

Tämä ei voi enää jatkua.

Yrittäjän eläkelakia pitää muuttaa!

Tesla has been working hard toward shipping Full Self-Driving (Supervised) in Europe for over 12 months now. We have given FSD demos to regulators of almost every EU country. We have requested early access, pilot release programs or exemptions where possible.

We have developed & shared detailed safety evidence for FSD, now public in our latest Safety Report. And we have driven over 1 million kilometers safely on EU roads across 17 different countries (internal testing). 

Our main path to success is partnering with the Dutch approval authority RDW to gain exemption for the feature. This involves proving compliance with existing regulations (UN-R-171 DCAS) + filing an exemption (EU Article 39) for yet-to-be-regulated behaviors like Level 2 systems off-highway, system-initiated lane changes with hands-off the wheel etc. 

Some of these regulations are outdated and rules-based, which makes FSD illegal in its current form. Changing FSD to be compliant with these rules would make it unsafe and unusable in many cases. While we have changed FSD to be maximally compliant where it is logical and reasonable, we won't sacrifice the safety of a proven system or materially deteriorate customer usability. 

As a result, we are gathering evidence to get exemptions on a specific rule-by-rule basis. Unfortunately, the real world fleet-proven safety wins alone are considered insufficient. 

Currently, RDW has committed to granting Netherlands National approval in February 2026. Please contact them via link below to express your excitement & thank them for making this happen as soon as possible. Upon NL National approval, other EU countries can immediately recognize the exemption and also allow rollout within their country. Then we will bring it to a TCMV vote for official EU-wide approval.

"Getting rid of heat in space is very hard" is almost a saying. It probably comes from - not the efficiency of radiative cooling itself - but from the size of the radiators that are quite big and heavy and especially in the past getting those up there would have been a major challenge. Tech has also evolved making the designs somewhat smaller and lighter.

@mrcalibra @alexanderkr @veNus_2910 The risk is ofcourse not zero but quite low compared to the benefits or if compared to the other risks related to driving and traffic. With proper controls it’s quite manageable.
