@rileyr_ actually, on EACH of her scoring plays, she did not dribble once, whether after an offensive rebound or receiving a pass. and she kept the ball high and out of reach before scoring 👍🏻
@rileyr_ Betts had a tendency before tonight to always dribble once when getting ball low from off. rebound. Not tonight: got the ball, went straight up to bucket w it 👍🏻
@kaitlinebenson Sadler also has Ala Sawab, another Flightline. I think he has looked better in AM than Inshallah. The latter’s knee action bugs me. But he did impress me today. AS should debut soon.
@gabsjaquezmuse SOLID defense! I’m sure that’s why Marsh gave her 21 minutes. She was involved in every aspect of play. Not everyone does that! As she starts to make shooting decisions faster, she will shoot more. Note: a vet team put a rookie on Clark 💪🏻. Because she is their best defender 👍🏻
@gabsjaquezmuse these bad teams that play vets should pay attention to the mystics. They are the youngest team in the league. they don’t act like it. They’re strong. They always come back in the 2nd half & they are beating good teams. They have a huge front line and unselfish players.
@gabsjaquezmuse Announcers keep talking up the sky and the sparks and others making a playoff push. It’s silliness. The playoffs are set. The 8 teams that are there now will be there at the end. They are all good teams. None of these teams behind them will ever catch them.
@gabsjaquezmuse best play for Jaquez: she drove to the basket with Thomas and Bonner in front of her, stopped, stepped back, shot a soft floater for 2. pretty impressive to go over two talented veterans like that. There was a time earlier when she would have forced a one-hand layup at the rim
@rmarksbury51@chicagosky@UChicagoMed this is spot on. selfishness and lousy shot selection. Every time they get a good late lead, they stop playing for a good shot, over-rely on Cardoso (she couldn’t make layups), and have people who want to be the hero (Sloot, Carrington, Cloud). It NEVER works
@gabsjaquezmuse Gabriela spoke briefly. She was asked what was working for her tonight. My read of her response was that she felt it wasn’t appropriate after such a loss to talk about herself, so she hesitated and talked about her defense. It was a high character moment IMO. Impressive poise.
