The fiat monetary system is the issue, not capitalism. We are living in a neo-feudalistic era.

Gold has already corrected nearly as much as it did in 2008.

Yet many are acting as if the selloff has only just begun.

I see an opportunity.

If this is the secular bull market I believe it is, we won’t get many chances to buy after a pullback like this, in my view.

RAY DALIO IS 87% IN GOLD: SMART MONEY JUST MADE THE CASE FOR STAYING IN GOLD

Gold has been a brutal grind for anyone who bought in the last year and a half. Negative sentiment is loud, red candles keep appearing, and the urge to walk away feels rational. Yet one portfolio snapshot from June 30, 2026, undercuts that entire impulse and reveals why the under-the-hood picture does not match the frustration.

THE CORE THESIS: ONE GRAPH OVERRIDES THE SENTIMENT
➡️ Ray Dalio’s holdings show 87% allocated to gold ETFs as of June 30, 2026.
➡️ That figure is not a modest hedge; it is an extreme concentration that would already raise eyebrows at 30%.
➡️ Morgan Stanley’s earlier 20% gold suggestion was widely called unrealistic hype, yet this portfolio sits more than four times higher.
➡️ The language is unambiguous: one of the most experienced cycle readers alive is positioned as if gold is the primary asset, not an afterthought.

WHAT THE ALLOCATION ACTUALLY IMPLIES
➡️ Even after adjusting for age and wealth protection, an 87% gold ETF weight remains an outlier that few on Wall Street would match.
➡️ The minimum takeaway is that a portfolio with no substantial gold position sits on the wrong side of this positioning.
➡️ A 20% allocation, once viewed as extreme, now looks closer to a conservative baseline when measured against this benchmark.
➡️ Gold itself, not the miners, is framed as the core holding; the miners function as the higher-octane overlay once the base position is in place.

THE BOTTOM LINE
The frustration is real and the grind has been painful, yet the combination of an 87% institutional gold weight and a positive RSI divergence that mirrors the pre-August setup argues against panic selling. This is the signal that separates emotional exits from the positioning that has already been executed by one of the sharpest cycle observers in markets.

@phithetasigma Don't be fooled. They said the same thing in 2015. Yet, after 11 years, investigations "are still ongoing". The PAP likes to pit on a show when the public is unhappy. After that, they do nothing.

No developed economy is printing as much as Canada is.

Canada doubles its monetary base roughly every 8 years.

Former PBOC head Zhou Xiaochuan is asking the most aggressive PBOC head in terms of #Gold accumulation (current head Pan Gongsheng) to be even more aggressive to buy gold given the pending debt crisis

During Zhou Xiaochuan 16 year term as PBOC head, China only added 1242 tonnes of gold (when gold price was cheap) from 600 tonnes in 12/2002 to 1842 tonnes in 3/2018, avg 81.4 tonnes/yr

His successor Yi Gang was not much better, adding 271 tonnes of gold during his 5 years in charge from 1842 tonnes in 11/2018 to 2113 tonnes in 7/2023, avg 57.1 tonnes/yr

The current head Pan Gongsheng added 297 tonnes from 2136.5 tonnes in 7/2023 to 2410 tonnes at present, avg 91.4 tonnes/yr

I live in Japan.

Lately, I've started writing down things I overhear American tourists say.

Here are my favorites so far.

At Fushimi Inari, the mountain path with thousands of red gates:
"Babe. How many more gates? We passed the 'last one' an hour ago."

At a convenience store at midnight:
"Why is this egg sandwich better than the food at our wedding?"

In Nara, where the deer bow:
"That deer just bowed at me. Do I bow back? ...I'm bowing back. I'm already bowing back."

On a bullet train platform:
"It left at exactly 10:00. Not 10:01. I'm a little scared."

Coming out of a restroom:
"The toilet started playing music, so I panicked and pressed every button."

And then there's the one I didn't overhear. I just saw it.

At Tokyo Station, the bullet train cleaning crew was lined up on the platform, bowing as the train pulled in.

A little American girl, maybe six years old, stopped walking.

She put her hands at her sides and bowed back. A big, serious, very careful bow.

The whole crew smiled, and bowed to her again.

She looked up at her mom and whispered, "They're so nice."

I've lived here my whole life.

That was one of the best things I've ever seen at Tokyo Station.

In Kitakyushu, Japan, an Afghan Muslim woman filed a complaint with the city council. She said her daughter and three nephews cannot eat the school lunch because it contains pork or pork extract, which is considered haram in Islam.

Her complaint was that they pay the full school lunch fee, yet the children skip the meal and go hungry because of the pork. If separate meals can be made for kids with allergies, she asked, why can’t the same be done for Muslims?

The good news is that the city council rejected the demand.

The point is clear: allergies and religion are not the same. An allergy is a medical condition. If a child eats something they’re allergic to, it can harm their body, which is why the school prepares a separate meal. Religion is a different matter.

If every newcomer starts demanding that schools, hospitals, and offices follow their religious rules, Japan’s own identity will gradually disappear.
