New year, new life. Loving Brussels, loving @eu_eeas 🙂 Tweeting stuff rarely, commenting a bit more. having fun with EVE Online & Mad Science - NL, EN, FR.
@julianzelizer#history is a vast learning system. Why do conservative / status quo group dynamics in societies always - without exception - reach for austerity as a mechanism when reach and / or power of that dynamic diminishes?
Because #austerity begets #authoritarianism. It is that simple.
@CCPFelix Maybe it’s me, but the label thing doesn’t appeal to me, on the contrary even, kinda puts me off. My character is like a Swiss Army Knife, it may not excel at any one thing but I can do most of everything with it. And that lets me have fun. My own path, not someone else’s.
@EVE_Virt They let you bypass traditionally rigid mechanisms. No need to write a letter to the paper’s editor and wait if it is even seen. You create a voice which otherwise you wouldn’t have.
I get what you say on effects. But having a voice is rare enough. Social media isn’t the same.
@EvAmsterdame@EVE_Virt@QCassam Same here. Got a copy of Vices of the Mind served to me on my first day of work at EEAS. Drove quite a message home. Amazing read though.
For those interesting in the problem of the Council for National Policy and its dire impact on #American#society, #economics and #politics - you're in luck.
For a limited time @anelsona's work on the agenda, money & policies is available for $1,99

Godspeed America, I wish you strength and perseverance, in a direly needed day by day grassroots exercise of participatory democracy - on every level, in every domain, for every angle.
Please, do wake up, to a 40+ year old networked agenda.
If you see a cat on ZOOM, and believe it's a cat, but it's actually a cat filter, used by a cat, would that classify as a justified false belief?
Asking for a cat.
@ZaleskiLuke@marcorubio Beneath all the ideological marketing constructs lies an inconvenient matter to consider, as in their core all these variants of conservatism and oligarchy follow Hayek and Buchanan’s paradigms of dethroning politics.
Who exactly - really - benefits from weak government?
I find myself curious - how are #twitterstorians looking at this #ImpeachmentTrial in real-time, not looking back throughout #History but observing in live. It must raise some interesting perspectives.
@BeschlossDC Observing the general public and social media debates on the #ImpeachmentTrial makes me wonder - if every American household had read @sarahkendzior’s research most questions would long have had answers - and a full accounting would have been possible. https://t.co/sse9QzHxTN
