As far as I can tell, one of the biggest changes across organizations over the past few years is simply the rise of distraction. The default often appears to be a kind of continuous partial attention. I'm not sure whether it's good or bad. Maybe people were suboptimally stuck before, and perhaps there are gains to being able to allocate attention more flexibly? Or maybe it's bad because meetings become even less efficient and our ability to focus (already under assault!) withers further. Either way, it's a striking new normal.
Adron Homes is a fraudulent company. They allocated a piece of land in Shimawa, near the RCCG area, and gave a complementary bag of rice and keg of groundnut oil. Shimawa had experienced a developmental boost due to the presence of the Redeemed church.
However, years after almost completing the payment, Adron Homes reallocated the land to an entirely different area, a proper tropical rainforest. This action seemed like a breach of agreement, so we decided to back out and requested a refund.
Unfortunately, their terms and conditions booklet is heavily loaded in their favor, which protected them. They charged a huge percentage of the money as a default fee and even demanded we return the bag of rice and keg of groundnut oil we received before they refunded a ridiculous amount.

Career Tip: If you need to tell someone that something is not your responsibility at work, try this:
"Unfortunately, this task doesn't fall within my area of responsibility. I recommend reaching out to [department/person] for assistance on this matter."
This way, you can politely decline the request without coming across as rude or unhelpful.

@Carnage4Life As a manager, ask yourself "why should my direct NOT be promoted?". Then be explicit with them about the reasons and make a plan to improve/demonstrate capability.
If you can't have that honest conversation, you have no business being a manager.
