@zeddotdev I was critical of Zed’s product direction early on, specifically the focus on collaborative coding sessions instead of AI-driven workflows like cursor. I have to say, Zed has come out as the AI dark horse and I can say confidently it is the best editor I’ve ever used. Great work!
Exactly this.
I am OK delegating writing the code to an LLM because I know what I want, how I want it, and can tell when it’s wrong. I have the structure in my head!
As @Grady_Booch puts it: “The entire history of software engineering is one of rising levels of abstraction.”
Pretty clear to me that "product-minded engineer" will soon be the most in-demand job across software.
It will imply using AI tools (of course.)
It also means devs with agency to build whatever moves the needle for the business, and helps reach goals (whether it's customers, fundraising etc)
To everyone willing to take a bet on Crew. Thank you! You won't be disappointed.
For everyone else, stay tuned. We've got some awesome stuff on the roadmap 😄.
@Codie_Sanchez Probably true when internal drive is lacking or the culture is built on supervision. But it's possible hire folks with high internal drive and build a culture on outcomes. Then work-from-home does wonders for the right people.
Underrated advice: The worst mistakes in life are made when you try to do fast what’s meant to be done slow. Real, durable things take a long time to build. Careers. Businesses. Relationships. Health. There are no hacks or shortcuts. The long way is the right way.
@chaseharris98 This is why great entrepreneurs and successful business owners are so often those who did poorly in school. 12+ years of being told you’ll fail in life tends to create resilience. What can you tell me about myself that my teachers haven’t already?
eBPF has been clutch for tapping into connections and seeing what's going across the wire (pre-encryption!).
Having an always-on wiretap with plugins to detect certain conditions and analyze or report in realtime while completely out-of-band is certainly turning heads!
The truth is on the wire.
Traditional APM tools miss what’s really happening between your app and third-party APIs. Qpoint taps into the raw traffic flows to expose hidden issues, speed up debugging, and reveal what logs and traces can’t.

App layer is where most of the value is. Nothing has changed. Humans like a well designed focused UX that deeply solves a problem as a first class citizen, not a text box that tries to do everything.
