.@BarackObama deported far more illegal immigrants than Trump, targeting those w/criminal records & the newly arrived. It was done carefully, responsibly & lawfully.
What we're seeing in LA is calculated to provoke & escalate. It's a made-for TV reality show, produced by Donald J. Trump.
Last year, Insurance Commissioner Tim Temple said if insurance rates don’t go down, “blame me.”
Now, rates are skyrocketing and the people of Louisiana want Commissioner Temple to do his job, but Temple is publicly complaining that people are trying to blame him. #LaLege#LaGov
Bone chilling.
A court ordered Kilmar Abrego Garcia to stay in the United States.
The Supreme Court ruled 9-0 that he was illegally removed. Trump is pretending he won the ruling 9-0.
1/ You may not think this case means anything to you. But let me tell you why it does.
The level of dishonesty in this country — the abject refusal to confront who we are and what we have done — makes this place susceptible to charlatans and makes some who walk among us monstrous.
He is running the country like he ran his 1990s companies— into the ground. Do not for a minute forget that this stable genius bankrupted 6 companies.
We need to be liberated from this reckless foolishness.
Together, we stopped some bad things from hurting Louisiana families more. We proved once again that we DO HAVE POWER if we are willing to collective activate. Shoutout to all of the Liberty & Dignity Coalition for leading our efforts.
.@jonathanalter: Like Kennedy said, I used to believe I was an idealist without illusions. I learned I had more illusions about the American people. @NOLAbookfest
Malcolm Jenkins — Saints Super Bowl champ, 12-year NFL vet, father, entrepreneur, and cofounder of the @playercoalition — is speaking out against the dangers of Amendment 3 and ALL amendments on your March 29 ballot. @MalcolmJenkins Join him in voting NO this Saturday! 🗳️ ❌
Black voters are already 37% of Louisiana’s early vote in the special election happening this Saturday, March 29th. That’s major. Now we must keep building on that momentum.
Check out the power we’re showing:
• Orleans Parish: 61% of voters so far are Black.
• East Baton Rouge: 44% Black turnout
• Caddo Parish (Shreveport): 52% Black turnout.
• St. John the Baptist: A staggering 79% Black turnout.
• Morehouse, St. James, Madison — all over 60%.
Vote NO on all 4 constitutional amendments.
They don’t help working class folks — Black, white, or otherwise. These amendments are written to serve the powerful, not the people.
They want you to stay home. They’re hoping you miss this moment. But when we vote, we block bad policy with people power. And every single vote raises that percentage — and sends a message to Jeff and Mike: we’re not going quietly.
