@Vwchick4ever@NIH Privatizing research and discoveries is extremely dangerous to society. These organizations provide knowledge that helps us to solve issues that affect everyone. Elon wants to shut down research programs in education institutions.
One could speculate that the faculty associations not represented may be facing even worse repression.
They may be outnumbered in votes, may face retaliation if they speak up, or the repression "isn't bad enough" to justify participation in the ULP charge.
Just wanted to bring to everyone's attention that in July, right before the new "expressive activities" policies came out, all of the UC Vice Chancellors for Student Affairs hung out with UCOP at the Mexico City villa that UC bought for use as an executive retreat.
We were honored to welcome the Vice Chancellors for Student Affairs of the @UofCalifornia System to Casa de la Universidad de California in Mexico City for their annual meeting.
We also had the distinguished presence of representatives from the UC Office of the President.
We covered the Regents meeting.
