I don't understand why squash merging is not the default on GitHub. The other options make no sense, and just slow things down.

Similarly, it's confusing that people *still* use `git merge`. It makes everything so complicated. Always rebase, never merge.

@stephsmithio I don’t know who the speaker is in this case or if they have an artificial limit set, but sometimes it’s just a platform limitation for how much concurrent chat/interaction it can handle. Hence, a livestream for the rest.
