Is anyone else exhausted by Web 3 marketing tactics?

Hype, anticipation, announcements of announcements.

Then to buy a product you need to spend thousands of dollars and you don't even know what you're going to get

Imagine this scenario:

Apple is about to release the Apple Vision Pro

For months Tim Cook tweets "OMG you have no idea what's coming. I never let the holders down. Let me cook 😜 👀"

And then instead of holding a press conference like they normally do and telling you exactly what the product is, how it works, and how it will improve your life, they have a dutch auction starting at $3,500 and tell you nothing.

You put in your credit card and then they send you an unmarked box.

You open the box and hope whatever is inside is worth $3,500. And even then you have to wait months for whatever is in the box to have any functionality or use.

NOBODY would buy Apple products

Yet this is entirely how Web 3 marketing works.

They tease you with announcements of announcements of announcements then ask for outrageous sums of money and you pray whatever you get is worth anything at all. 90% of the time it isn't.

Why can’t NFT companies tell us exactly what a product is, show us the art, release the functionality/utility on day 1, then give us the price and allow us to make a decision if the product is worth the price?

We talk about mainstream adoption, then make all the consumers gamble thousands of dollars to get a product

I don’t think that’s how the mainstream wants to consume products

1. 일론은 정말 자주 테슬라에서 일을 한다. 아들 X도 사무실에서 한번 본적있다.

2. 일론의 가장 탁월한 능력은 개발 업무에 가장 적합한 사람을 찾아 배치하고, 그에게 비전과 미션을 확실하게 심어주어 목표 달성을 이끌어낸다는 것이다.

3. 첫 출근한날 부터 야근을 2주동안 했고, 일종의 테스트를 거치는 느낌이었음.

4. 워라벨을 추구하는 직원들은 보통 1년을 버티지 못하고 퇴사, 남은 인력들은 대부분 테슬라 미션에 미처있는 사람들이고 자주 초과근무를 한다. 그래서 그런지 주변에 입사 7~8년차 이상 선배들 또는 1년차 신입이 많음.

5. 주가가 하루 10% 떡락해도 직원들은 농담으로 넘김.

6. 미팅을 권장하지 않지만 짧은 미팅이 많고 매우 효율적으로 진행됨. 하루에 30분 이내의 미팅이 10개 이상인 날도 있음.

7. 테슬라에서 근무 하는건 대학원을 다시 다니는 느낌과 흡사하다. 회사와 동료들에게 많은 지식을 배우고 있다.

8. 매주 근무시간은 최소 50시간이상, 많은 야근을 한다.

9. 8계월간 근무가 3년 처럼 느껴진다.

이번 아주키 발표를 보면서 fomo 대신 NFT 프로젝트 구조의 태생적인 한계를 느낀다.

거의 모든 프로젝트는 크라우드펀딩 형식으로 홀더들에게 선모금 한 다음에 기대감을 주고 이런 fomo 가 선반영되어서 fp 형성을 하는 상황이라, 기본적인 수익 창출 창구가 없으면 지속가능하기 어려운 구조다

Musk vs Zuckerberg CAGE FIGHT: How I Accidentally Caused It

Two days ago, I tweeted about META’s competitor to Twitter called ‘Threads’.

I took a few jabs at Meta, then referenced their Chief Product Officer saying how they’ve "been hearing from creators and public figures who are interested in having a platform that is sanely run."

Elon saw the tweet and promptly responded facetiously by saying, "I'm sure Earth can't wait to be exclusively under Zuck's thumb with no other options. At least it will be 'sane.' Was worried there for a moment 😅."

A Twitter user responded to Elon’s comment by saying, "Better be careful, @elonmusk. I heard he [Zuckerberg] does jujitsu now," to which Elon replied, "I'm up for a cage match if he is lol."

As if this callout by Elon wasn't enough, Zuckerberg responded to Elon's challenge via his Instagram story by saying “send me location," referencing the famous quote from MMA fighter Khabib when he called out Conor McGregor.

We now have additional information about the potential bout:

- Location: Vegas

- It will be fought in an Octagon (UFC style)

- Potential referee: Joe Rogan

- Andrew Tate has offered to train Elon in preparation for the fight.

- UFC President Dana White claims he spoke to both Elon and Zuckerberg, and both are “dead serious”

While Zuckerberg has experience in Jiu Jitsu & MMA, Elon undeniably has the physical advantage over Zuck.

Crypto is so useless and overvalued, whenever i look intro an other industry it’s hard for myself to justify the valuations of 99.9% of the projects

0 value creation, 0 revenue. If crypto wants to grow as an industry some drastic changes will have to happen
