Helping the UK population reach the best version of themselves using the law of marginal gains; getting 1% better in all aspects of your life to reach your goal
NEW POST WEDNESDAY. The law of marginal gains and the whole ethos of Uppd explained in one article. https://t.co/VRenZY8ooa #productivity#goals#aimhigh#lifestyle
So much freedom comes with the realization that nobody is tracking your failures - most people are unaware, don't care, or are too concerned with their own failures to worry about yours.
Now an official half marathon athlete. Such an enjoyable day, I've definitely caught the big event bug. Bring on the one hour 30 minute half #halfMarathon#oceancityhalf
My April & May have been bonkers. From a busyness and financial perspective. Does anyone else have months where they just feel like their money disappears? #FI
The truth is that if u want to be a millionaire keep yr bank balance as close to zero as poss. Reject what society, yr teachers & yr family told u about money. Learn what the true nature of money is for yrself. Learn how to build a business, rake in money & invest it profitably.
When I was growing up I was told 'You are only a millionaire if you have ยฃ1m in the bank'. This is quite possibly the worst piece of advice I have ever had and cost me dear when I was younger.
@lmcdonell14 @LifeB4Budget I don't ๐คฃ
I check my nett worth once a month, that's normally enough.
This is all prefaced with me being an index fund investor. If you were investing in individual stocks I'd probably check a little more often
@HustleEscape I'm not suggesting to just quit your job. But if you do have another option that you know you could go and do you know that you'd be financially secure day to day AND still stay on the road to FI I'd say go for it.
@HustleEscape I'd agree with other comments about starting a side hustle, I'm doing that now as well as my full time job.
My honest opinion on the job though; I'd personally take happiness over cash any day of the week. even if that meant X years longer in the workforce
Standard of living has risen over the decades, yet happiness levels have stagnated. Why? Because few people own their time. Doesn't matter if you have a big house, new car, or tech gadgets. If your days are consumed by commuting/working at a job you hate, it's hard to be happy.
No phone day yesterday was a huge success! Still used tech, sat nav and laptop, but we both sat in front of the same laptop and shopped for some garden furniture. Such a good feeling not worrying about the constant interruptions
Quick question to the Twitter-verse. Has anybody ever made Mac n cheese with almond milk and if so what was the taste difference like? Noticeable or not so much?
So my recent completely non-FI purchase has turned out to be a fantastic one. Sometimes the return on a purchase should be measured in enjoyment generated over financial gain #supClub#standUpPaddle#financialindependence
@DebtandCupcakes I don't have the actual cash right now, but I'm working towards around 2k in cash then another 4-5k in a low risk portfolio (60/40 split maybe).
