I've been working with Free/Open Source Software since before Git (we had CVS), Github (we had SourceForge, Freshmeat), or pull requests (we used patches), but best of all, there were no social networks.

When someone submitted a patch, a suggestion, etc., what mattered was the quality of the work: good, bad, or meaningless for the project. Either way, we were grateful, and often, when it was bad or not useful, a justification was given for such an assessment.

The code always came before the person, no matter who they were, and no one would "raise their criminal record" to somehow bias the evaluation of the work done, quite different from what is done today, in many cases. Code is one of the most transparent things there is; it can and—in my humble opinion—should be treated as such.

@ryanbrunner @noverloop @dhh I agree, if when I `git init` it creates a branch named main, I'll use that, if the branch name is bozo, i'll use that, I don't want to have to change because some site people think the name is whatever :D

can anyone tell me how do developers lived without zellij? I'm addicted to it, and it is so much easier than tmux...
my only problem now is to ssh from a zellij tab and want to open another zellij in the server machine :P
