There is no doubt that Pakistan has huge challenges. We have failed a whole generation in Pakistan, maybe two generations. So what do we do?
Spend all our energy on pointless political point scoring? Lectur everyone on WhatsApp groups all day long on what ails this country? Incite further hatred and polarization in the society? Perpetuate despondency in the youth?
How will that help? The only way I know is to keep me head down, and continue to work towards a positive change. Ignore all the trolls, hate, abuse .. and focus on what I can deliver in my limited time.
As they say: “Everybody wants a revolution, but nobody wants to do the dishes.”
I only know one thing: this country will improve if I spend every moment of my time to try to fix it. Not whine about it. Not fight over it. Not lament about it. But actually try to fix it.
I hope you will too …

The bad outcome of student fight had appeared in the shape of bulldozing huts. However, to my knowledge QAU is going to establish food street inside premises. My request to administration would be to give priority to the owner of huts in allotment of shops to help them earn
@_akhano Do these societies operate due to Huts culture there? Politics and intellectual debates are the result of students behavior and attitude not the Huts culture.
Source of Intellectual Debates? So this argument implies that all the Ivy Leagues and Russell Group universities can't produce intellectuals coz they don't have huts culture.
Instead of providing quality places within the premises of university, QAu administration along with the city administration abolished the main huts which were not only a place accessible to all but were a source of intellectual debates....
their mind is Huts. Why? Coz they don't come under Uni's premises. So no UDC. No fear. Only violence.
Plus you're aware how it has promoted drug culture at campus as it is the main hub of distribution of such menace. I don't think so students come to QAU to taste this flavor.
Talha...the point is there's is no linkage between Huts and intellectual debates. Why ppl are justifying their existence in name of this?
And yes it gives a different flavor but what flavor is that? If any council has to take on their opponent, the first location that comes to
@usman_eijaz Oh usman. These huts were so much more than just buildings. You know this, why do you act so indifferent? It was everything that gave QAU its unique flavor. Foreigners used to come to our campus for this, visitors from all over Pakistan did. We were no ivy league. We were we.
